Tinkers is actually two shops, occupying next door premises in the heart of Seven Dials. One shop seems to concentrate more on 'classic' hardware items - paints, nails, sandpaper and the like. The next door shop is more oriented towards general homewares - pet foods, haberdashery, toasters.....it is difficult to see how such a wide range of goods is available in two very small shops, but they manage it. The friendly staff will help advise you with anything you need, and although I'm not sure how long it has been there, I get the impression this has been a local institution for some time.

They fitted the locks on my new house last year. They were efficient and really reasonably priced. If you live nearby, ie, in Surrey Quays, Canada Water, Rotherhithe, Bermondsey, there's a whole host of other stuff on offer in the shop like key cutting, shoe repairs etc. They fixed my very high heeled boot once immediately when I was on the move and the zip broke (=awesome) so I could carry on with my night and head out. They also cut keys, and it's cheap. Every set I've had made up works perfectly. You'd be "locky" to know these guys. Mwa ha ha....
