Once you sign the contract, that turns out to be a lie. I called to postpone my class, and when I asked for an appointment the next week, they told me my membership had ended--no more classes. OTF Somerled has literally changed my life!…read more Since the pandemic, I had really let myself go. I was depressed, unmotivated, had zero drive and absolutely no desire to get out of bed to do much of anything. That went on for 3 years!!! I was dreading exposing myself to the world of fitness in the state I was in but knew I needed to get my active life back on track. I have been to so many different fitness centres (the Y, Energy Cardio, Fitness One, MAAA, Nautilus +) and had done countless bootcamp sessions and CrossFit, none of which even compare to what I was about to experience with OTF. Getting back into shape, meant that I would be disappointed with how much my body had changed over the years. I knew I'd need more than just a physical workout. I'd need support, encouragement, advice, structure, and positive reinforcements. Then my sister introduced me to Orange Theory. She said it was exactly what I needed to get my groove back. BOY WAS SHE RIGHT!!! Not only are you encouraged to go at your own pace, but you're also made aware of your progress and the work you are putting in during and after your workouts. It keeps you motivated and on track. The only commitment you are making is to yourself. OTF has a pay per month plan, meaning there are no annual contracts locking you in, and adding unnecessary pressure. So you don't have to worry about biting off more than you can chew. Which helps you set smaller and more reachable goal. If you sign up for a minimum of 3 sessions a week, you also get a FREE heart monitor, tracking your every move, heart beat, and calorie burned. And if you thought that was good, I've got more news. OTF is WORLD WIDE, with multiple fitness centres in every major city. They also have an app compatible with iPhones and Androids, keeping you up-to-date on stats, allowing you to book your sessions directly from your home, and providing you with workout videos you can do from anywhere at any time. And did I mention the 1st SESSION IS FREE? So, if you're looking to make a positive change in your life, and need that extra push from encouraging coaches and a supportive community, OTF Somerled is for you! I promise you won't be disappointed. You think I'm kidding? Just read the reviews. P.S HiiT is highly addictive. Expect to get hooked!

Bravo and kudos! After going here for 5 months, I've learned a lot of things. Having gone to Nautilus since I've lived in Montreal, the initial visit to this gym was jarring. The space was smaller, things were more cramped than I was used to. A bit too chaotic (during peak hours) I thought. But now as the time has passed and I understand the gym's "groove" more I gotta admit that the vibe here is quite excellent. A very social and friendly crowd whenever I attend. There's always smiles and banter between members, members and staff, the staff amongst themselves. And that "chaotic" vibe I got during peak hours is now something more poetic and playful. Very cool gym! Sarkis, the big honcho there, is a totally cool chill helpful man. Very friendly and receptive to feedback. The man knows how to run a great gym spectacularly.

It's near my apartment and only 30 minutes so it's much easier to commit to than most workout classes. I also like the music selection they normally have which skews Pop rap. The facility is simple but nice and clean. I did an intro week and then bought a package of classes but of course they're cheaper if you buy multiple monthly passes. Price is about average for this kind of thing. Would recommend for anyone trying to work up a sweat in 30 minutes !

All you need to do it sign up and show up, they take care of the music, the warm up and the work out. The workouts are half an hour long and start from 7am and run until late into the evening so you won't have an excuse to not be able to fit it into your schedule. If you think 30 minutes doesn't sound like enough I dare you to try and tell me otherwise. They mean it when they say "high intensity". Apart from that, the coaches are superb. They will be there for you whether it is learning a new technique or pushing you to your limits. Classes at this location cap at 12 people which allows you to get some friendly competition and also some one on one with the coach if you're having trouble with something. The trainers are friendly, fun, and very knowledgeable. They charge $25/hour, and if you have exceeded 30 training sessions, then it becomes $20/hour. The space is not the largest, but good enough, providing all the weight training and cardio equipment you may need. To be exact, 10,000 square feet of training space, with 75 up-to-date cardio machines, and 75 strength stations. It is not constantly jam-packed, but does have its peak hours. They also provide a towel service, and have made the vicinity wheelchair accessible. The gym is in the perfect location for those who live and/or work downtown, study and/or teach at Concordia, and use the Guy-Concordia metro often. It is also in the ideal location to find a quick bite before or after your workout. There are a variety of classes offered too, ranging from yoga to pilates, martial arts to kick-boxing, and many, many others. They last for about a month and a half at a time, and incur a separate charge. To me, this is one of LeGym's downfalls, as I wish it provided full access to classes, as well as the gym's facilities. Despite this, however, you still get great quality for what you're paying. I'm a regular and I love it here.
