I split two entrees with two other friends for about €36 and we left with stomachs ready to burst. The couscous I ordered came with 6-7 types of meat and it was a great way to sample a lot of their items. My favorite was the chicken- tender, moist, and packed with flavor! The lamb was delicious as well. It slides right off the bone and practically melts in your mouth. Additionally, the dish is well-balanced,served with sides of fries, rice, and a salad

I'm such a sucker for Italian food, and this meal did not disappoint! Definitely on the pricier end…read morebut well worth it, at least in my opinion. The restaurant was packed when we walked in on a Tuesday night around 7:30 pm, but we luckily had a reservation. There's a bar section, as well as seating inside - I will say though, the seating inside is a bit of a squeeze, with the tables being super close to each other. The inside is dim and bustling with conversation. They have a chalkboard menu on the wall, and servers are chill and willing to recommend what to get. We started off with the jambon, which they cut fresh with the machine by the bar. Each slice was super thin and tender, pairing great with the olive oil and bread. We got three different types of pastas, one with jambon, one with shrimp, and one with beef. The jambon pasta had a subtle flavor profile (hints of olive oil and maybe a bit of butter?) which I enjoyed, bringing out the saltiness of the ham. The noodles were chewy and al dente. The shrimp was super tender and fresh. And the beef pasta sauce was lemon-y and creamy. Each dish was distinct from one another but all enjoyable and delicious! We ended with the tiramisu, which was super rich and creamy, literally melting in your mouth. A meal I'd definitely enjoy having again!

Quality/Quantity - This might be my new favorite Michelin Star restaurant!!…read moreIf you are following, we have been visiting more and more Michelin Star restaurants around the world, so we can have comparisons to the ones we visit in the US. Continue to follow as this trip is far from over! As light eaters, both my wife and I opted for the 5 course dinner. The food was amazing, not just in flavors, but also in the presentation and of course, service and education. They take the time to explain every course. And every course had multiple items. And I really like the spice samples that they also bring with every course; see pictures. In summary, my writing will not do this place justice but I hope my pictures do a better job. So see all my pictures and my few videos. As usual, most of my Yelp videos did NOT upload, but you know that because you are following. Ambiance - Located in the main tourist area, Old Port, right on the harbor. An easy walk from our hotel. Beautiful and even with last second reservations, we got a perfect table!! 2nd floor restaurant, two parts. Our table and room faced the harbor, Old Port. So nice people-watching. But if we were able to catch the sunset, it would have made this better, a 6 star review. Service - Excellent, expected and deserved Michelin star restaurant. On the day before, we walked in and made our reservations for the next evening and had no problems. Well, my French is so bad now, basically gone... But they quickly grabbed an English speaking team member. With their help and support we still had a slight issue booking our reservations with our credit card with the link they sent us. The owner/chef ran to the stairs to greet us and thanked us before leaving expressing his appreciation. Price - 145 Euros for the 5 course prefix dinner. 195 Euros for the 8 course prefix dinner. Drinks cost extra, including bottled water. 360 Euro; $425 USD. Owner Comment - Congrats on all your success since 2011...? And in 2015 being the youngest Michelin Star Chef at the time. We will recommend you to not just our Yelp community but to all our friends. As Marseilles is a huge cruise port, we have many people we can share this experience with.

Une Table, au Sud was such a great choice for celebrating our anniversary. We did the 5-course…read moretasting, and it's honestly one of the best tasting menus we've had. The menu was really thoughtful and well-paced. Highlights included the Tarbouriech oyster, the aioli with cod, and the squid course (which they kindly cooked a little for me when they noticed I hadn't eaten it -- and it was perfect after that). The Gambero Rosso with carrot and reduction was excellent, and the red mullet was beautifully done. Everything was flavorful without feeling heavy. The presentation was beautiful, but not fussy, and the service was warm and attentive without hovering. Another big plus: even with a tasting menu, we were in and out in under 90 minutes, which was ideal for a port day. Relaxed, polished, and genuinely memorable -- a fantastic anniversary meal that didn't feel over the top.
