A perfect location with a great view of a fountain and the marina in Vieux Port. We just happened to see it tucked away next to the old stairway on Rue de la Rampe that leads to Rue Georges Clemenceau. I originally thought a café this close to the port would be touristy given the location. Fortunately, it turned out to be very local.
We visited on a beautiful morning in Cannes. The outdoor tables were pretty much taken with the exception of a 2 seater in part shade. It couldn't have been more perfect. What a great view!
The service was polite & professional. The café was very busy. We had the latte macchiato as we continued to look through the menu. I thought about ordering a galette, but the crepes looked too good to pass up. The crepes were exactly what we were looking for with the crispy edges. I had the one with pear & apple compote while hubby had the chocolate one. He ordered a scoop of ice cream to go along with it. It was a great idea. Everything was delicious! Hubby was so happy that he even ordered a second latte. He never does that. It was a very comfortable spot, even as the shade turned into full sun.
I wish I could go back for lunch. I saw my favorite moules frites on the reverse side of the menu. I'm hoping to convince my husband to take me back to Cannes again. Our time was too short since we had to meet up for a tour at 1pm. It was a memorable visit in a beautiful city! read more
