The spacious duplex room is fully renovated to keep up with modern trends. I didn't get a chance to experience the jacuzzi, indoor and outdoor pools, or the spa as they were fully booked, but they certainly have potential for a future visit. The breakfast was decent, with room for improvement, but the amazing staff made up for it with their exceptional hospitality and attentiveness to our needs. For the published room rate, one would expect more from such a hotel experience, like better amenities and a guide or presentation on available activities, especially considering the large construction site just before the turn towards the hotel which reduces the scenery.

So let's get the good stuff noted and go from there. - common areas are generally quite lovely and well cared for - the front desk staff are awesome, which counts for a lot - the beds were comfortable, I slept well And now, things I noticed - with a book rate around $350 a night I expect a functional space to stay - the toilet paper holder was broken - two sinks and a shower, but only two tiny soaps provided so we had to move soaps around as needed. This may have been the maid being sloppy or hotel policy...no way to know. - Room is for 4 people, not enough towels for the two that were there. Had to use a wash cloth at the second sink - no garbage at the second sink, so if the bathroom is in use, you have to pile your garbage on the sink until the bathroom frees up - the sinks are monstrous leaving very little space for anything on the counter tops, it was difficult to manage in the bathrooms due to lack of counter space - the ice machine jams and there is no way to un-jam it other than waiting for it to thaw. - The main elevator is slow, it takes 2 to 4 minutes to arrive when called. Hint, use the elevator in the Amerispa part of the hotel, it is slightly faster, or, even better, use the stairs, they were much faster - brutal line ups for check-in at certain points in the day I did make a mistake with my booking. I booked one night when I thought I had booked 2. It was a big mistake. We discovered it when our key cards didnt't work. They were able to solve it, which I appreciate but they charged me their full book rate, instead of the rate I had booked. Their reasoning was 'we are fully booked!' except, actually they weren't. Our room was available....sooo. Yeah. Overall, I will avoid returning if I'm able. Never say never, if I can't find anything else, I will book here, but the cost/benefit was not a good ratio for me. The smiles from Sylvie when you enter bring you that big welcoming feeling. The breakfast was incredible, her advice of the vineyards was spot on, and she took great care of us. Lovely jacuzzi and great walking/cycling paths nearby. Great value for your money.
