I was in Paris for 10 days and visited this store three times. If you like making your own products and are into essential oils, it is awesome. I also loved seeing so many people shopping for various ingredients to make their own products - the energy was wonderful. Every time, I wanted to ask "what are you here for? what are you making?" but as an English speaker with very little French, I refrained. And there's the rub. The website is only in French, so is not that helpful for those of us who don't speak the language. (I translated the other yelp reviews from French to English, and evidently, the site is very helpful for giving product ideas.)
The store carries everything you need to make your own products from containers, to base oils and creams, to the essential oils, extracts, and absolutes. My last visit, I bought a chocolate extract that smells divine. Be prepared before you go and know the oils and ingredients you are looking for, but also take the time to look and smell for items you might not know existed. While I loved being around so many people shopping, it can get crowded, so earlier on weekdays is a good time to go. There are few consultants to help people, but I did notice them aiding those who had questions. As it was always busy, I never approached anyone to see if they spoke English. The check out line can be very long, but it seemed to move fairly quickly. The one time I did speak English to the person at the check out counter, she politely spoke English back to me.
Visiting this store was one of the big highlights on my Paris trip! read more
