An unpretentious local spot that somehow made it into the travel guides, we came here after a day of exploring Villefranche and discovering the lovely caps & seaside cliffs.
Our waiter was a 16 year old boy who had recently gotten his drivers license -- we all toasted to him at the front door to what would become one of the most relaxed and memorable meals in this sleepy little fisherman's town.
The cuisine isn't going to blow you away, but it was deliciously perfect for the time and place. Three tiny outdoor tables were very close to the edge of the sidewalk, so cars and scooters would drive close by our table. The charm of a local spot.
The pizza was very thin crust and fresh. I remember delicious wine, fresh seafood platter, and a tasting an order of the classic local fish-based soup. Simple, and hit the spot. read more
