This shop is a feast for the senses, it smells wonderful, there are so many delicious treats, and it all displayed beautifully. My recommendation would be to stop by here for some lovely, useful, and 'more interesting than the typical' souvenirs from Chamonix. Along with cheese and meats, wine, cookies (which I'm sure are all fabulous) they also have wood sausage and bread knives. These range in price form approximately 13€ - 20€. These are interesting and something to use once you have returned home from your Alpine holiday. The also have wood handled fondue forks for 2.50€. I actually make cheese fondue at home, but you could use these for other nibbles at parties. The shop folks are friendly and helpful, but I'm not sure how much english is spoken. I spoke French. Quick and easy dinner tip: They have roasted chicken, a great dinner option for the crowd back at the chalet! read more
