If I could give this more stars I would! The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, they were very kind and helpful with picking out little treats. There were so many incredible pastries to choose from it was difficult to decide on just one (or two!). My daughter and I ordered some coffee to go with our delicacies and settled in on a street-side table to take in the views will we sipped and savored. This is a great spot for beautiful and expertly crafted pastries. read more

Very nice place for breakfast. I had the petit-dejeuner (baguette, butter, jam, croissant, bread, coffee, juice) and my girlfriend the omelette. Both was very good. Had to wait a bit until the waitress took our order (place was full), but food and beverages then came super quickly. Will definitely go back next time in Chamonix. This is a dream place for sweet lovers. Walking into this cafe is like a sugar magic. All you see is the delicious french desserts in a show case, which is so beautiful. Not only they look beautiful, they tastes incredibly delicious. You can't go wrong with anything you pick there. This is by far the best french breakfast/dessert we had in France. We ordered Pain Au Chocolat, Pain Aux Raisins, Cheese Omelet, French Baguette, and Cafe Latte. Everything was delicious. If you would like to have a true french experience, please go! Great place for coffee, breakfast, lunch....snacks....we were just about the first people on the streets of Chamonix in the morning and this place looked good, there is both indoor and outdoor seating. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!! We came on a 2 hour bus ride to come hiking and decided to get some breakfast here before we headed up the mountain. My boyfriend ordered his food, and I ordered a sandwich from them. It was pre-made so they said it wouldn't taste good if I got it heated up, so I went with their recommendation and got it cold. When it gets to the table I was excited to start eating. However, I could barely bite into the sandwich, so I thought if it was heated up a bit, it would soften the bread. They were annoyed about us asking to heat it up but they did so. When it came back it was still awful. We asked the waiter if we could get it taken off and we would order more food. Before he could say anything, the manager, shown in the video, said loudly that there's nothing wrong with the sandwich and she will not be take it off. The group of people next to us asked us what happened, and we told them. They proceeded to tell us that she was rude to them too and treated them with DISRESPECT. My boyfriend and I went inside to try to get a reduced price because I wasn't able to eat that sandwich. She kept telling us no until she agreed to give us half off for the sandwich. She was so RUDE! You could also see the flies on the food displayed. DO NOT EAT HERE. read more

Went in to try sweets bc they looked really good and the place was highly rated. Usually in cuisine, from my experience, presentation doesn't correlate with taste. I was filming (only the food and myself) for a YouTube video. I was not filming her or the staff. Anyway, this older woman starts yelling at me to not film her or the staff--which I wasn't doing either. (She said I could film the food and that was it. Another coworker who could speak English told her that I was just filming myself which she seemed ok with.). She then didn't even say it was going to be a few minutes or anything and she just proceeded to walk away and I stood there for about 10 minutes while she was doing other things. So, I walked away on search for another restaurant. I was still drawn to the images of the food in my head. So, I went back and went in line again. She was helping everyone really fast. And I ordered. She asked if I wanted my tart to go or stay inside and eat. I said I wanted to eat inside--for which you need to be seated and order off a menu--which I didn't know--but after I sat down, Service was taking too long, as I needed to go to a reservation I booked (ice caves). So, I went back up to her to order to go--and told her this-- despite me telling that I wanted to order to go, she yelled again stating that she told me already that if I wanted to eat in that I need to sit down. I clarified--again--that I was ordering to go, and she was like ok. So, I took my order to go. There were tables outside. It was a small cafe, and I am from the states--haven't really travelled much outside the states. Anyways in the states, if there's a small cafe or Starbucks or something, you can order to go and eat outside and it's. Anyways, I didn't know i was doing something wrong until a staff member came up to me and said I had to pay to sit there--outside of a small cafe. Then the older woman came up to me and yelled--again--stating that I had to pay to be there or something (at least that's what I think they were saying). I asked "comment" (a polite way of saying what in French)--as my French is not good and I learned some French just to pay a visit here, and I just wanted her to repeat what she said more slowly to better understand what she was saying (as I said, my French is bad). She said "I know you know what I'm saying/what I said." Anyways, I offered to pay and show my health pass, but then she said "bon," and walked away. The tart wasn't good-it was tasteless. I couldn't finish it and I usually finish all my food. I think you should always go to places who treat you well--I've never had any food that was worth any rudeness. Sad I didn't abide by that when coming here. -1/5 stars. Also, amazing for someone who yells so much to not be able to listen. read more
