The location and design of Le Raymond Bar are excellent. Contrary to the other reviews, I really like the interior. It has a slight French art deco look. The outside view is also really nice. The place is seat yourself, so you basically hang around like a creep until someone gets up and empties a table.
I was lucky and got a two-seater bench table towards the back which was away from much noise. They're also open on Sundays, which is not so common and is therefore appreciated.
Their drinks are good, if expensive. I ordered the 18 CHF vegan plate and all it had was bread, olives, sundried tomatoes, and artichokes. It was an awkward combination of food and was dry. There should have been a dip or something to make the bread a little less blah. The servers were indeed friendly, but it seemed as though there were only 3 or 4 of them for the entire place, and so they were running around nonstop the entire time I was there, making it very difficult to order. I would recommend coming here if you have plenty of time to spend and, are not in a rush, and are only looking to drink. read more
