Le Quinze is an adorable hotel located on the south eastern side of the Grand Place in Brussels. You absolutely can not beat the location. The hotel is literally in the square facing the city hall and the King's house.
To check in you enter a quaint hallway to the right of a bar and above a restaurant (look for the number 15 above the door). There are two very accommodating and helpful men at the front desk who can check you in and answer questions you may have about the area. You'll need to stop by the front desk in the morning to get your ticket for free breakfast (until 10:30am) at the restaurant across the square, La Brouette. They do leave around when it gets dark but the entire building has key access to keep the building safe and I've been told the neighboring bar typically helps them with late check ins.
The room they gave us was room 41 which was remarkable. It featured a double bed, a fold out couch, a desk with coffee and tea, and a romantic elevated area with a table, wine glasses, and chairs which overlooks the entire grand place. I can not stress enough how breath taking the view is. The room was very clean when we arrived and was cleaned every day we were there.
Keep in mind, because this building was rebuilt in the 15th century and is in the Grand Place it does have some limitations. There is no air conditioning/HVAC though they do have several radiators for heat in the rooms and provide fans. My stay was in mid May so the room was easy to keep cool by opening the window. Leaving the window open does allow the voices from the square to be heard. This was not an issue for us because the bars closed around midnight and most of the people quieted down then as well. I've read elsewhere that people have complained of noises from a club but I never saw, heard, or experienced this, though I can see how it could stay loud if you're visiting during one of the festivals that takes place in the Grand Place. You may want to check the Grand Place's website for events. The elevator/lift is small and doesn't have an interior door (think classical Parisian lift). There is free private internet with a separate network for every floor, however it is quite slow and inconsistent.
Checkout is at the same front desk at 11:30am. They were very accommodating with keeping our luggage in a locked room for a few hours before we left the city. There is a city tax of approximately €4.50 per day which is paid at checkout by credit card or cash.
Overall, this was a marvelous hotel and I'd stay here again over any other hotel in Brussels simply because of the location and welcoming atmosphere. Keep in mind, it's a cute romantic hotel in the heart of the city, not a skyscraper in the business district, so don't expect dry cleaning, room service, etc.
