Luckily, one of our hotel staff mentioned that we may have luck in Orange - it was already after 9pm on Tuesday evening, but ONE restaurant was open until 11pm... Chez Rene. Upon arrival the hostess/waitress greeted us and was very accommodating. The chef/owner, I believe, was gracious and patient with us while we placed our order. The food was Italian and decent, and because the staff was so helpful, I must give this restaurant 5 stars! Merci!

The food was definitely Italian, the marina and cream sauces hitting the mark, but the lasagna reminded you of Sunday dinner at Nonni's. I think the only reason this doesn't get a 5 is because staff was smoking when we came in, and neither of us smoke.
