This is an extremely charming pension in a remote small town in the Pyrenees.
You are probably there to go hiking in the mountains.
Since there is nowhere else to eat in the village -
you will probably be taking the full pension and eating their breakfast and dinner.
The hotel bar is open during the off hours.
We stopped there for a cold plate of meat and cheese plus beverages.
(That's all they have off hours.)
It was a plate of very superior cheese and quite decent meats.
I was happy to have it.
(The vegan had to make do with the bread and the vegetable garnishes.)
We did get to wander around the hotel afterwards -
and it was kind of a magical place.
Dark and funky, filled with interesting objects, nooks and crannies everywhere, big comfy chairs in unexpected locations, twisty and turny.
A comforting and civilized place to sleep after your encounter with the wilds. read more
