Elaine then proceeded to roughly chop 6 inches off; she then trimmed about 4 more on top of that. Elaine straightened my hair before trimming it, complained my entire appointment about how my hair was too long, too thick, and was consistent in telling me she hates doing young peoples hair and was only doing mine considering my first stylist couldn't make it to work that day. This place looked professional, however Elaine completely ruined my long hair; gave me a chop shop cut and just butchered the ends; not only did she do a horrific job but she was rude and whined the whole time as well. Do NOT go here. Absolutely horrific experience. My 1 1/2 years of hair growth is completely gone and my hair cut is horrible. Elaine should be fired and they should work on their customer service. It was honestly just unacceptable and Elaine should not be cutting people's hair, ever. I'm warning you, DO NOT GO TO ELAINE. Mean lady and horrible at her job. Rae (the owner) is both personable and professional. She truly knows her craft. Even the hair washing bowls and chairs are designed in a way that put my mom at ease, which is a HUGE DEAL for us. At 84, she's particular about comfort now that's she's dealing with a spinal issue. The day that I had my hair done, Princess brought her to the sinks so she could test out whether or not she would be able to withstand the hair washing/ rinsing process. She left that day feeling hopeful. She had her hair relaxed today and she left feeling absolutely pleased and pain-free. In short, if you're looking for a place that treats you like family, knows their stuff, and leaves you feeling beautiful inside and out, RAE Beauty Company is it. I highly recommend them!
