There was a Garage waiter outside on his phone who held open the door for us and our dog. We were immediately halted by a member of the staff who pointed at the dog and waved his finger back and forth and pointed us to the door. Not a word. We did not find the "warm" and "welcoming" experienced mentioned here. FOR INFO: Le Garage is now an Irish Pub, as noted by the signs on the windows and everywhere and the darts and pints, rather than an American Bar.

They roast and sell their own beans and the coffee smell is lovely. This is a city crammed full of places to eat and drink but it was only a few hours after breakfast and we really only wanted a drink, so we grabbed an on-street outside table under shade. The coffee was exquisite, complex and €3.4 for the least milky, least sweet cappuccino I've ever had. We got one sweet biscuit between us; it was a bit like a crisp ice cream cone. It was fine with coffee. The staff were helpful and courteous and their WiFi was fast. They also have toilet facilities.
