The beef tartare's portion was huge, but the flavor was not that tasty. Additionally, the meat wasn't chopped well and there were several times I picked up huge chunks of meat strung together which made it pretty unappetizing. Everything is cooked here on a grill top so the place smelled like a cookout. The space is small and cute with pictures of animals blowing bubblegum on the walls. Service was super friendly as well. The surrounding burgers looked really really tasty and the fries were superb.

Two amazing main dishes! And what's a meal without dessert? The classic tiramisu had a bitter flavor from the coffee and cocoa dusting on top, balanced off by the lightness of the mascarpone cheese and whipping cream. The dessert of strawberries with Chantilly cream was made of a cup of sliced strawberries in a light syrup, served with a dollop of whipped cream on the side, along with powder sugar and crushed nuts for decoration. The strawberries were a bit on the sour side (perhaps still early in the season) but paired deliciously with the airy whipped cream to make for a nice, light finish to the meal! For the 20 Euro price tag, this set menu was an absolute steal, and the service here was so quick and friendly too!

Le Petit Commerce is in the heart of Bordeaux's historic Saint-Pierre district, with tables spilling onto one of the city's charming pedestrian streets. The restaurant is larger than it first appears, occupying spaces on both sides of the street, and dining outdoors really adds to the experience. It's a lively spot that's perfect for soaking up the atmosphere while enjoying a relaxed meal. We started with the escargots, which were served in a classic garlic-herb butter and were enjoyable without being particularly memorable. The burrata with tomatoes, pesto, toasted pine nuts, and fresh herbs was fresh, light, and nicely balanced, making it one of the better savory dishes we ordered. For the main course, I had the grilled fish fillet served with potatoes and seasonal vegetables. The fish was fresh, moist, and cooked well, but the overall dish was fairly simple and didn't stand out in terms of flavor. Everything was good and well prepared, just not something I'd find myself thinking about long after the meal. The real surprise was dessert. The lemon tart with toasted meringue was easily my favorite part of the dinner. The tart had a crisp pastry shell, a smooth lemon filling with just the right amount of tang, and lightly torched meringue that balanced the citrus beautifully. It was the one dish I'd happily order again. Service was friendly and efficient throughout our visit, even though the restaurant was busy. That generally reflects what many recent diners have experienced, although some reviews mention service can slow down during peak periods. Dommage Cela faisait 3 ans que je n'étais pas retournée au Petit Commerce, j'en avais une très bonne image. Nous y retournons d'un pas décidé avec mon conjoint un soir en semaine. La salle était comble donc on nous a installé dans l'annexe située à côté. Il s'agit d'une cave à vins où quelques tables sont installées. L'ambiance y est froide au sens propre et figuré, il ne devait pas faire plus de 15°, de plus pas de fond musical, juste le son des couverts des tables voisines. En ce qui concerne la serveuse, elle nous prenait de haut, semblait agacée sur les questions qu'on lui posait sur certains plats. Quant à la nourriture, vu que les cuisines sont dans l'autre local, les serveuses sont obligées de passer par l'extérieur, résultat, on mange froid. Conclusion : plat en direct, pas de dessert ni café, nous étions pressés de partir ! read more

Déception J'étais ravie de tester ce restaurant dont j'avais tant entendu parler... Quelle déception !... Arrivés en tout début de service, nous avons attendu un long moment avant d'être servis. J'ai choisi l'assiette du petit commerce : panaché de poissons à la plancha... Les poissons étaient crus à l'intérieur, j'ai dû les faire recuire, l'accompagnement, une poêlée de légumes à base de courgettes était un peu visqueux. Quand à mon compagnon qui avait pris un tartare de bœuf, il n'a eu droit à aucune sauce pour le préparer et pas d'accompagnement... facturé en plus lui a-t-on dit... pour un plat à 22 euros, c'est quand même abuser, surtout que la quantité est correcte sans plus. Bref... produits frais sûrement mais préparés sans soin et un très mauvais rapport qualité/prix... nous n'y retournerons sûrement pas ! read more

Excellent ! Nous avons pris des tapas et je n'avais jamais vu ça ! Les énormes assiettes de moules à la plancha super bonnes, idem pour les poulpitos, les crevettes plancha délicieuses, les sardines cuites à la perfection, la charcuterie goûteuse, bref rien à dire. Un bémol, une petite salade verte ou des petites crudités seraient les bienvenues mais il n'y en a pas. Les desserts étaient succulents, quoique un peu trop sucrés, dommage. Le vin blanc comme on l'aime, l'accueil souriant, les enfants sont les bienvenus et reçoivent les plus beaux sourires des serveurs et serveuses. Nous y sommes allés un samedi soir vers 19h30, c'est l'heure idéale à mon avis, après ça devient vite bondé et très bruyant (défaut d'insonorisation ?). En tout cas, ça bosse là-dedans ! read more

In Bulot Veritas Endroit incontesté du trentenaire un peu bobo, le petit commerce est un endroit exquis. Déco années cinquante. Souvent bondé, vous ne regretterez pas l'attente. Evitez cependant la "terrasse", comprendre "la rue". De la plancha sous toutes les coutures, de la mayonnaise, du bulot, de la palourde... Fraicheur des produits, qualité, simplicité, rien de pompeux dans les libellés des plats... Des vins souvent médiocres aux prix demesurés, voilà le premier bémol. Vous ne serez pas très regardant non plus sur le service qui reste à la bonne franquette mais est efficace. Après tout, c'est ce qu'on lui demande. L'addition peut être vite salée mais franchement, l'ambiance est excellente. A faire et refaire entre amis. read more

De plus en plus décevant Habitués du restaurant, nous avons maintenant pris la décision de ne plus y retourner : à force de vouloir s'agrandir et de devenir un "grand commerce" alors que les cuisines, elles, ne s'agrandissent pas, il faut attendre très, très longtemps des serveurs débordés et pas très agréables (il faut limite s'excuser pour oser leur demander un dessert ou une bouteille de vin). Mais cela ne s'arrête pas là : alors que ce restaurant n'est pas donné côté prix (aucun menu), nous avons constaté que la quantité de purée dans l'assiette de poisson a diminué, les légumes accompagnant le poisson sont quasi-inexistants et malgré les entrées-plat et dessert, nous n'étions pas rassasiés en partant !
