Another discovery from playing "Yelp App-Ventures," the highlight of Petit Buck is the karaoke with the lyrics projected on a giant screen behind you so everyone sings along, and there are no songbooks. You just write down what you want to sing, and the dj finds it, and if he can't he lets you know. But he probably can. This is mostly a young bar, like so young our adorable bartendressses were turfing underage drinkers when we got there. Also it's totally unironic. It's a sports, karaoke, foozball, lottery machine bar off of St Hubert with a touch tunes machine, and 11$ pitchers of Tremblay. Don't go here to pick up unless you're an 18 year old Quebecois cutie. But I dunno, I loved the staff and how the danced with the old tough skinny dude in the back when he took breaks from the lottery machines. And I love having this option for epic karaoke in my neighborhood. Weirdly winning. I'll be back.
Oh ps - there's endearing sport memorabilia around everywhere, and like 3 TVs, plus the big projection screen - probably a joyful place to watch the Habs. read more
