This was our third visit to Fontvieille, primarily to enjoy the extraordinary hospitality and creative cuisine afforded by Jean-Pierre, Catherine and their team. What began as a venture into the culinary unknown in 2009 has blossomed into a relationship that is much more than dining at a restaurant. Sure, there are hundreds of places to dine in Provence, and they all have something special, along with a divergence of opinions. We are admittedly biased when we say Le Patio is a "world enclave" to us...a blend of nostalgia, recognition, shared memories and simply outstanding cuisine. For us the definition of "special" is Table 7. Caveat: If you are counting your calories or laser-focused on budget, find another restaurant. If you want to be relieved of all cares and pretensions, and enjoy some of the finest local cooking in the world, Le Patio is your Provence destination.
