There is plenty of space in the shop for people to browse, try the shoes on and also walk around to check the comfort of the shoes. I think this is a lot better than some shoe stores where you barely have room to browse, let alone comfortably try on a pair. Always seems clean, although the smell of plastic in the shoes can sometimes be a little overpowering. The staff i've been served by have always been polite and fairly quick at serving, and i've never really noticed large queues even when shopping on a saturday.

The staff there are helpful and polite and are always at hand . Wynsors have there own big carpark and its can get busy the ques are never big as the staff are quick servers . The only problem is i think icould do with moving near to the other shops to gain more business and to make it alot easier for those who are shopping in hanley.

I came away with a pair of shoes and also slippers. The amount of lovely stock for all ages in footwear I.e, trainers, shoes, slippers for men, women and children You will be spoilt for choice. It is well worth a visit where car parking is free. My footwear was good value for my money. Thank you to the young man who pulled out all the stops to help me. I shall be back.

In fact, it's so much about the leather that they only carry four or five trainers for boys. Jones Bootmaker also has a great range of shoe care products behind the counter. If you want to tenderly care for your shoes then they have brushes, polishes and shoe horns. Who would ever want to buy a wooden thing shaped like a foot that you put in a shoe to help it keep its shape? Is this the kind of thing a boy will never understand?

Even though it is only about 5 miles down the road from me,i very rarely go into Oldham any more,and on the back of todays experience it will be even longer before I go back again. All that is missing from Spindles and next doors old shopping centre us tumbleweed. I was shocked at just how many of the shops had closed down since my last visit,and with rents and rates being what they are these days it is unlikely they will be filled anytime soon. It seem as though Oldham is suffering from the same things as my home town of Rochdale.How Waterstones is managing to stay open i'll never know, and seeing as HMV has closed down, looking at books was all that was left for me to do. And like any child I was drawn to it. My mum loves this place too as they do stock everything. It is quite big and has lots of space for you to try stuff on. Sometimes you go to places and there is no room to try stuff on comfortably. They also have a cafe so if you want a break this is a perfect spot! There is a large shoe department, probably more for the older woman, and lots of nice handbags. The mens section is quite big. The home wares are lovely, some fab bedding and towels. Also candles and photo frames etc. Upstairs is the womans section, with a good range of both fashionable and practical items, some for the older woman. Their accessories are fab too with some very well priced silverware. Some great ballgown type dresses at good prices too! It has a cafe downstairs with yummy food at fgood prices.

The store appears to be quite compact and there is a small step to enter it. There's not a lot of room downstairs to fit many customers let alone buggies so i'd avoid entering if it looks busy and maybe go back later. However the good think about this being an independent shoe shop is that you get the benefit of choice between Clarks and Start Rite (as well as other popular brands such as lelli kelly etc) It's worthwhile to note that they do have a loyalty scheme in the kids department where you buy x amount of shoes and get one pair free, which is an obvious incentive for you to shop there and a very welcome one at that due to how fast kids feet grow! However, apart from the size my main gripe with this shop is the staff. Whilst shopping in there they'd left piles of boxes right near the shoe display and on the already narrow floor in front of it a very obvious hazard. My son tripped on it and grazed the skin off of his forehead head resulting in tears and a very shocked little boy. The staff did not apologise for the hazard THEY left there and nor did they show any concern for his well being. I had to ask, twice, for an antiseptic wipe. They were well aware of what had happened, they witnessed it and yet they made no effort to do anything about it and there was no mention of an accident report book which would have been whipped out pretty quickly by one of the better known competitor chains. This in my eyes in sheer unacceptable and is the main reason I would NOT shop here again. Customer service is vital to any retail outlet and here it is painfully lacking.
