nails are pretty but not professional. I had a male 2/3 times and he doesn't put the gel back all the way on you finger nails. I just had them done today and they look like they would if they had been left on for over a week and a half. It's their gimic to get you to come back more often. And I give a very generous tip. I will be looking for a new nail salon. The guy does at least do a good pedi. And no one bothers to push back the cuticle anymore. I do this before I go in and they still don't put it all the way back! Drives me crazy!! read more

So I have visited Le Nails multiple times in my life and had way better experiences before these two times...However, for these two sets not so much. my blue thumb nail was shaved down way too far. My first set was the orange and pink set and it came out to 60$ and they weren't exactly what I had hoped for as my nails started lifting less than a week.. I paid for this blue set as a fill. My nails grew out in a week! A WEEK! and all my nails were lifting... not only that but my nails didn't have full acrylic on all sides of my nails. Paint residue was left on my skin from both sets... I paid 50$ for my blue set. My lady who did my nails did not see that the thumb was uneven and I asked her to fix my one side that was shaved down to far and the lady literally shaved down the exact side that was shaved down to far!! Like please know what you're doing... Not only that but it was a lot rougher on my nails and the discomfort look on my face should've been able to let the lady know that was not satisfied. The overall vibe was very calm and relaxing. I would have to give it a 2/5 star review because my acrylic wasn't completely covering my nails. read more

Pretty much your standard strip mall nail joint dealing in quantity over quality. I've been getting my gel nails done there for five years and I still have no clue if any of them even recognize me. But, I'm in and out in under an hour and my nails look ok. One huge pet peeve: Depending on the day, the place can be overrun with screaming babies and small children with the mothers being either oblivious or entitled. I've had toddlers going through my purse, trying to climb in my lap and take my cell phone, all with no intervention from the mothers or the staff. I'm to the point that if I show up and it's Children's Hour, I turn around and come back later. read more

They're normally very busy but still treat their customers very kindly and give great service to everyone. I never have a problem with my bails breaking and I'm normally very tough on them! The new kid with the glasses really tried on my nails but they didn't turn out like I wanted them to. I had some nails longer than the others.. the "ombre" didn't turn out as I wanted, and I had nails polish all over the side of my fingers. It was a complete disaster! I'm usually in there for an hour or an hour and a half. I was in there for over 2 hours! And although they turned out the way they did.. my total still came to $60.00. And I gave a $5 tip because I felt bad but if you're going to work at a nail salon at least know wtf you're doing! Not going there again unless I have someone thats good. read more

I had the worst experience with this nail salon. I chose a simple sage green polish and wanted gel on my natural nails. I told them what I wanted and she continued to try and put fake nails on me. (Completely ignoring what I was saying) I had to say no thank you and pull my hand away explaining again I wanted my natural nails painted. Then she switched and a man came over to do my nails. He brought over a bright purple color and started to paint my nails.. I said no I chose my color and the woman had it on the desk. They proceeded to laugh at me and roll there eyes. Made appointment for my moms ,mothers day. Callec and Found out the price then gave the money to her with the tip. Sister took her. They said ,, they were asked very briskly what do you want when they came in. Then again briskly told ,,go wash your hands!, a customer explained what was going on and took my mom to wash her hands. Appointment at 11.. after they had time between walk-ins at 11:30 , a man( that barely spoke English) said to my mom,, come. Came time to pay it was $10.00 more then was told on the phone during scheduling. The employee didnt look to see what my.mom was scheduled for..he never asked her name. Not very happy with the care there. My nails are still quite bumpy even after she buffed them. She was rushing a lot and then decided to switch out with someone new to do a pedi. Then she came back and touched my hands...was not thrilled. Very painful experience. read more

I've gone here for over a year usually 3 times a month. After today I'll never go here again. They were rude to start with. After being rude, they began to take off my gel nails to put on healthy nails powder, during which they stabbed me under my real nail causing me to bleed. I showed them what I wanted and they said they couldn't do it. So, I went with a simple ombré and the ballerina shape I always get. The woman proceeded to do colors I didn't want, which I gave her examples of in a photo. After which she made sure to only file one side of each nail. I am absolutely appalled at not only at the lack of professionalism I received today, but at the way they let me walk out to show the world what they had just done. They do not sanitize chairs between customers as required BY LAW, nor have I ever saw them sanitize brushes that they repeatedly brush peoples hands off with. I chose to ignore the code violations, as I can wash my hands and clothes when I leave, but I can't ignore horrible nails. I have attached a photo of what I wanted and what I got. I'm just entirely disgusted and disappointed with the entirety of the events at this salon today. read more

This is the nicest walk in nail salon in the area. Service is almost always prompt, staff is friendly, variety of services, VERY sanitary. I'm super picky about the cleanliness/hygiene practices of nail salons and this one exceeded my expectations. Prices are a little higher than others in Somerset/Johnstown, but it's worth it for the peace of mind! read more

I have been going to Le nails for my acrylics for 3 years now, on and off. I've been getting my nails done consistently every 2 weeks for the past 2 months now. 3 years ago, every nail tech knew what they were doing and did an amazing job. Now there are a bunch of nail techs, but nearly all of them are absolutely terrible. I had a bad set of nails done by one of them a year ago, and so now everytime I go I won't let anyone do my nails except Annie and her husband, the two owners. I have to get clear acrylics to comply with army regulations when I'm in uniform. For some reason, everytime I ask for clear they try to force me to get color and I was even belittled once for getting clear. Usually Annie is busy with appointments so I have her husband do my nails. Clearly, he does not want to do anyone's nails now that he's the owner. I went in a few days ago and he was very rude to me. I told him i only wanted my nails slightly shorter and he shortened them to the tip of my finger. He was going very fast, skipping steps, and honestly just acting like he didn't care what they looked like. When he was done I noticed there was one spot that wasn't filed on the tip of my nail, cool no big deal i can fix it at home. When i got home and actually looked at my nails, my pinky nail was so uneven that it looked like i had been biting it, there were rough edges on nearly all of my nails, they're not all the same length, and my middle nail was crooked so bad i sat there for 5-10 minutes filing it to try and fix the issue. The acrylic was already lifting off my natural nail and some of my natural nail was poking out on the corners of both my ring fingers. Not to mention, when I was having a conversation with my friend who sat next to me, he started speaking in his native language and I heard two words that couldn't be translated as they're american words, and him and his wife laughed. Not only was he completely careless and trying to rush me away, but he was also extremely rude. I left him a $2 tip, which I don't even think he deserved that, and went about my day. I will be looking for a new nail salon and will not be going back in to Le nails. Seeing as I always tip well, i'm always friendly, and they have consistent business from me, I think the way he treated me and my nails was uncalled for. The only one who knows what she's doing and actually puts the effort into her job is Annie. read more

This place is great. They honor appointment times unlike other nails places in Somerset, and they do a really great job, too.

Walked in for a pedicure. The water was nice and hot, but things kind of fell apart after that. The nail tech phoned in her dinner order while she was doing my pedicure (hate feeling like I don't have their undivided attention when I'm paying for their time). The tech then informed me that I was "really pale." Um, ok? I found that pretty rude in tone and not intended as a compliment (and no language barrier that could have confused the issue as she was born and raised in Somerset County). As far as nail care, a light filing was done, cuticles pushed back, and nails buffed, but that's where it ended (no trimming or detailed nail shaping). She used a pumice stone to smooth the skin, but not long enough to really do anything. The massage was way too light in touch almost to the point of annoying. Paint was applied a bit unevenly and tech did not wrap nails with the polish, which I detest because it doesn't last as long without this step. The tech did have pleasant conversation with me after the initial pale comment, but all in all, I would not go here again or recommend it at least as far as pedicures go. Pedicure was $30 which is decent, but make sure to tell them if you want to add a tip on the card because there is no tip line after they run it through. Luckily I had some cash on me but will not be back. read more
