I'm not one to write reviews but this is something I wish I had before enrolling my daughter in…read morethis center. I so badly wanted to believe that Primrose Norman was as sought after and highly ranked as their sister schools in OKC and Edmond, but boy was I wrong. For starters, the front receptionist is a blessing to this center and if the directors were more empathetic, compassionate, and driven like Taylor this center would be worlds different. When I first toured primrose I only ever spoke with Taylor, I was never greeted by the directors, and never met a teacher (my mistake for being trusting). By the time my daughter (16 months) started on November 7th, I was in for a rude awakening. The first week my daughter within a few days picked up a bad stomach bug (to be expected with a new daycare) but she continued to get new viruses every other week to date. On top of all the sickness she continued to get, on the days my daughter was there I hardly had any communication with the teachers and when I'd message for an update, it would go unanswered. I tried not to ruffle feathers, but after the third message, I finally called and complained. Pictures and updates started to improve over the past few weeks but I still had an uneasy feeling. Then this week happened. On Tuesday (Jan 24th) I showed up by surprise to pick my daughter up early around 11:20 am, the kids were all sitting down waiting for lunch and I could tell my daughter was upset. I didn't know why until I got home and noticed her diaper was completely soiled and her bum was fire red with sores from sitting in her feces. Let me state, at 10:47 am the teacher of the class marked that my daughter's diaper was checked and she was "dry". I immediately called and spoke with Brandi (the director) she assured me she would take care of it and we could potentially move my daughter to a different room. Today (Jan 25th) I called back up there and spoke with Tiffany (assistant director??) and when she asked if Brandi had dealt with the situation Brandi said she didn't have the chance because of the weather. Tiffany then assured me she would get an explanation and call me back so we could move forward. A few hours went by and at this point, my daughter's bum is scabbing up and I'd decided I'd had enough of the inconsistency, lack of communication, and lack of care for my child. Thankfully, we were able to get back into our old facility. By 2 pm I called to withdraw my daughter and asked to have her stuff ready for my husband. When he got there Taylor apologized and Brandi walked out and gave him a snotty "mhmm" response when he said thanks. Mamas and dads, please take these negative reviews seriously. Primrose is not cheap and just know the cost does NOT mean quality. So happy to be out of there even after a short few months. There's no way I could bring myself to putting my daughter back in their care after the situation was not taken seriously by the leaders who run the facility.

I went in for my appointment (where I was told I had to show an ID, but we clearly never even got that far), told them my name and that I was there for a 4:30 appointment. The two ladies at the front of the 3-ring circus told me that I did not have an appointment, and there was no opening for a child my age at all. As frustrating as that was, the lady explained to me further that she was the new director and didn't even know how the system worked. After speaking with another lady there was something mentioned about a child that left that went a few days a week, but nothing was ever asked about when or how often my child would need care before I was turned away again. I was eventually offered a tour while I was there, but after seeing how un-organized and poorly managed it was, decided I did not want to take my child there. No matter how long of a waiting list they had!

My child has been…read moreattending this La Petite for over 2.5 yrs, since he was four months old, and I am a slight helicopter parent and extremely particular in who/where I will leave my child. The director at this facility has won my approval over and over, many times. She actively listens to parents concerns and then acts one them! The director holds a high bar for her teachers, and therefore all of the teachers at this facility are also wonderful!

The worst I have ever seen. The school is Monday-Thursday 7AM-2:30PM. If you have responsibilities outside of class, You are bound to miss a couple days. If you miss a total of I believe 30 hours within a 6 month span, you get kicked out.... yup, all your money is gone. For missing a lousy 30 hours. What a joke. You hardly get any days off from school, you never get a week long break until Christmas rolls around. It's 18 months long consecutively. If you're 2 hours late to class you're automatically counted absent and sent home, And get this, if you're 2 hours late on the first day of starting a new course, YOU AUTOMATICALLY FAIL THAT COURSE! In all honestly I wish I never came here. Good luck with this school, it's not enjoyable at all. Everyone here I seem to talk to can't wait until 2:30 to get the hell out of this place.

Honestly, the monthly tuition is very reasonable and efficient compared to hiring a private tutor or using other services. Also I want to emphasize the benefit of going to the center during the summer! It will make a big difference when your child starts a new school year in math. My son has been going to Mahnasium Norman for about 7 years. He says he wants to keep going. The main reason is he can receive the quality of great service. According to my son, the math teachers in school are always rushing when he asks questions. Therefore, he is hesitant to ask anymore questions even though he hasn't fully understood. Whereas, the staff at Mathnasium are very patient and professional in teaching. My son feels comfortable asking questions and they break down the problems until he fully understands. Some children sometimes need extra steps to understand math, however, not all educators and tutors understand that. I personally think that is the biggest problem for many children. Mathnasium is a center for all children who are advanced or behind. I am so grateful to the center. My son is taking an advanced math and keeping good grades. It's all the result of great friendly and skilled staff!

The instructors are high energy, well trained, fun, exciting, and know exactly how to make each child shine. We noticed immediate improvement in our 5 year old's respect and perseverance, among other things, which has helped her excel both at school and at home. It's not "just a class" or "just an activity". Its something that is fun an exciting but also teaches the child how to become a confident, respectful and successful individual.

My daughters have been involved with BCGA's girls AAU Xcel team for 5 years and after the second…read moreyear it became a revolving door of coaches, so the girls on the team haven't had any stability in the realm of coaching for the last 3 seasons. Well, this year the coaches they brought in hit an all-time low, to the point they sucked all of the love of the sport out of my daughter that has loved doing gymnastics with her teammates for years now. I emailed the main coach (the guy in charge of the 3 coaches for the AAU Xcel team) 5 times between January and April 14th with little to no responses from him. Our daughter and the rest of the team were told that they needed to come up with their own beam routines, while the coaches didn't even make sure all the skills that they needed for the event were in their routines. Many of the girls completely bombed the beam event at their first meet (which was at BCGA), then the coaches got angry at the team for not doing well at the event. The two female coaches they had this year consistently looked for any excuse they could find to cancel practice, when practice wasn't cancelled, they didn't work on developing or fine-tuning the girls' skills instead they worked on breaking down the girls' spirits by calling them pathetic and getting in their faces at the drop of a hat. The one male coach the team had was the best at developing the girls' skills, but he thought it was appropriate talk to them about their periods and had other inappropriate behaviors. He was removed from the gym after an incident with another team, so that it the caliber of people that this organization feels is okay to hire to train your kids. If you want your girls to enjoy gymnastics, then find another gym. My daughters have both quit gymnastics now and it is in no small part due to the way this gym is being run. Again, I emailed the main coach (the guy in charge of the 3 coaches for the AAU Xcel team) 5 times between January and April 14th with little to no responses from him. So, after getting tired of my daughter being upset to the point of tears after 90% of her practices, I addressed the coaches myself. I will admit that I could've been more tactful when I approached the coaches, but here is what I said to the team's "head coach." I said, "Since you want to talk about the team being pathetic in front of the girls, you should know that the performance of the team is a reflection of their coaches," I then said, "You're a shit coach." After that the other coach scoffed and I left the gym. They then kicked my daughter off the team because of me addressing the coaches, and they said she was lying about everything despite several of the other girls talking with her on the phone about the things the coaches have been saying to them and how it's making them feel. I do wish I would've approached this situation differently, but due to an overwhelming amount of frustration at both the coaches and senior staff of BCGA, I addressed the problem that they were not handling. This organization does not care about the well-being of your girls or even that they are developing their gymnastics skills, all of that went out the door a long time ago. Your AAU girls are just numbers and paychecks for this place. This is not to say anything against Bart Conner himself, because he is not involved with most of the day-to-day work going on at the gym. The few interactions I have had with him have been pleasant and he seems like a very down-to-earth kind of guy. However, the people running the gym are dragging his name through the mud.
