And yes.. there are pickpocketers all over Paris, especially in areas where tourists lose their situational awareness. So bring your brain. That being said, my husband greatly appreciated the thorough security pat down which gave him the FULL experience.. 5/5 would recommend. The food is shockingly great. The sounds of champagne bottle popping everywhere really adds to the ambiance. The place was completely packed to see a tried and true review complete with feathers, sparkles and full body makeup. Wouldn't say it's entirely family friendly... but it has a children's menu and my 9 year old son said the dancing was amazing. Put this on your must do list.

We did email them and let them know ahead of time to be sure they could I'll say it was a pretty good show ‍. The variety acts were incredible!!!! I'll also say though the dancers for the show / story part need done choreography refresh. The timing was off, no smiles, looking at others to see what they're doing and making the moves look flawless was off for SEVERAL dancers (more than 3) since scene 1. It was distracting our group and took away from the show. SMILING should be step one. Please freshen up!

After weeks of planning our trip, this was one of the experiences I was especially excited about, so walking away disappointed was heartbreaking. Before our trip, I emailed the club to inquire about reservations but never received a response. If reservations or inquiries by email aren't actually considered, I don't understand why that option is offered. It gave us the impression that planning ahead might help when, in reality, it didn't seem to matter. We waited outside for about 15 minutes while the doormen appeared to prioritize beautiful women, regulars, and people they clearly knew. Eventually, they acknowledged us and asked where we were from (the U.S.) and whether we spoke French (we don't). I was honestly surprised they had even noticed us in the crowd, and I genuinely appreciated that they took the time to speak with us. Rather than leaving us guessing, they were upfront and politely explained that first-time visitors essentially need to know someone to get in. I respected their honesty. It was far better than being strung along or ignored. That said, it was incredibly disappointing to realize that traveling internationally, dressing for the occasion, attempting to make reservations in advance, and choosing Raspoutine as the place to celebrate my birthday still wasn't enough. If you're visiting from abroad, just know that connections appear to matter far more than planning ahead. I left genuinely disappointed... not because the staff were rude (they weren't), but because my husband and I had been looking forward to this experience for so long, and it simply wasn't possible despite our best efforts.

Anyways, they did end up letting us in, and unlike some reviews, they are not racist at all, I saw many different nationalities there, different colors and styles of clothing. Drink we're good, place is clean and interior is cool, music was amazing, great DJ, you could tell he was very skilled, you couldn't sit still. We got to meet different people, Parisians, Slavic, and other nationalities. Overall very fun, the only thin is the smoke room downstairs was not very well ventilated.

We went with a group and everything was paid for so I'm not sure about the over all value what I do know is that everything that came out of the kitchen was delicious, it seemed as if the food was almost never ending, the music was jamming, beautiful ladies in gorgeous costumes + very handsome talented male dancers, culminated in one fantastic spectacle...manifique! During the time that I was at Pau Brasil, the venue seemed a little on the small side (more normal for french standards) There was a male MC/host, who could ssss-ang, a female vocalist, about 4 or 5 female dancers and 3 male dancers, so at most there were only about 7 to 8 people on stage at one time but given their space and the good use of it, the showed really filled up the room and I really enjoyed the more intimate setting. I also really liked the crowd participation. For now I can only imagine how the show has evolved over the years but I bet now is an even better time to visit because I have a feeling that they probably found a cute way to include this years Olympic games. Obrigado Pau Brasil! Side note: From what I've heard and read about other more touristy cabaret/spectacles like Moulin Rouge, etc I know that our group spent a fraction of the cost and got much better food and over all experience (based on my research, without visiting other places as to not waste my money)
