The design and acoustics of the main concert hall are just incredible. A minor point was that finding the bathrooms during the intermission was confusing and the fist bathroom was out of service. Getting to the Philharmonie is very easy with the subway. If you come, I suggest that you have dinner at the restaurant Aux Arts et Sciences Réunis where they were very attentive to have dinner over in 1 hour so that we could arrive on time for the show.

Visit Date: March 20, 2015…read more When I found out Dance of the Vampires was playing in Paris I had to go! Our hotel concierge hooked us up with pretty cheap seats in the orchestra section. The staff of the theatre were very nice. Our seats were way off the side of Orchestra but the ushers had seating charts with them to tell if there were any empty seats in the theatre. There were some empty seats closer to the center of the orchestra in the same row we were in so the usher moved us to those seats before the show began. The bathrooms were easy to find and fairly clean and private. The theatre was very nice, the only problem I had was that my credit cards weren't working when I went to purchase souvenirs so I had to run down the street to the bank and get euros so I could pay for my souvenirs. The show was amazing and I would definitely see it if you'll be in Paris during the run of le bal des vampires.

But wait! Up some windy stairs is a sunlit room with about the same amount of art. Some things were creepy, some were a level of obsessive detail that required long minutes of marveling, and some were inspiring. 2 hours is a sufficient visit, and you will want to reserve time to peruse the bookstore and get a snack, lunch, or beverage at the café. The museum is in the garment district, and the art may inspire you to pick up some fabric to make a collage.

We popped in for the Jeunet/Caro exhibit, because when in Paris, you Amélie. The design of the exhibit space is in a wagon wheel, with fixtures from the duos filmography segmented by "pie piece." An intriguing blend of movie props, original script notes, stills and videography paint a brilliant behind-the-scenes for The City of Lost Children, Delicatessen, MicMacs, Alien: Resurrection and more. A floor up, sunlight floods a year-long showcase residency called Turbulence in the Balkans, featuring Eastern European works but unfortunately, no brass bands. Sad dance party loss. Anyhoodle, the space open, well-designed and easy to get through in an hour or so. If the exhibits catch your fancy, pop in for an afternoon delight.

I mean c'mon, Paris has the Erotic Museum, and the Catacombes museum so going to a museum devoted to poop would have been a new experience, but I guess poupee means dolls in English. So yah, it's a bunch of dolls. Some very old to the modern day version. There's only 3 rooms here, and your total time will most likely be about 8 minutes or 1€ per minute during your time here. It's better for mothers and daughters to come here. Not for single dudes who wanted to see as much museums as he can in Paris. Yah, no photography allowed in the Poupee museum. There's a gift shop too, and obviously were selling dolls, little trinkets and other dolls paraphernalia. Some dolls on sale went as high as 1200€. And these aint Barbies either!!!

In French, romance can have tragic endings too, as in film noir and the love for dueling over a pretty French lady lol. For me, I'm very passionate in life and love, but in all honesty probably would never duel over anyone, well unless said name ends with Jolie ;D Musée de la Vie Romantique ahh a museum that resonates of the era of Romanticism. A time of emphasis on emotion and individualism, idealization of nature, suspicion of science and industrialization, and glorification of the past with a strong preference for the medieval rather than the classical. Ahh... to live George Sand was the pen name of Amantine Lucile Dupin. She lived by her own words, having affairs with several of her literary contemporaries and the occasional commoner too. Nothing like French love affairs, eh? Today she a HO! Musée de la Vie Romantique has to be one of my favorite small museums in Paris. Don't expect the Louvre here, but expect a very intimate experience as you walk around in an old mansion built before the era of Romanticism. Each creak in the stairs a story that once was, each artifact in the case a story within a story. Sounds cliché but only if the walls could talk! If you have the Paris Museum Pass, which I highly recommend, entering this intimate museum is absolutely free! So get the pass and be Parisian in the City of Love! II n'y a qu'un bonheur dans la vie, c'est d'aimer et d'être aimé... ahh to love and be loved. In the end, I recommend Musée de la Vie Romantique in Paris. It's probably not for everyone, but you don't have to be a Romance Novelist or Casanova to enjoy the intimate history here. Oh! And do enjoy the Tea room in a timeless Victorian era Greenhouse! I enjoyed my tea with all the old French ladies there checking out moi lol! Musée de la Vie Romantique a treasure from a bygone era! Je t'aime! "I saw that you were perfect, and so I loved you. Then I saw that you were not perfect, and I loved you even more..." *Le sigh*
