Great dance music and great mixed crowd. Went again Sunday and was a totally different vibe. There werre a few dare-I-say drague queens in beards wearing tablecloth dresses who were trying to run the show... I guess in France throwing a dress with a beard is considered drag... Not impressed by the effort. The outside is pretty intimidating for the uninitiated, you'd never know there's a little club there. Saturday was supposed to open at 11 but wasn't. Was told that there was another gay bar nearby called The Red Cafe but couldn't find it. Went to The Six which was pretty packed with regulars but again, tiny. Overall the gay scene in Nice makes me long for good ol' NYC where we have whole neighbourhoods of 'gay' and don't have to party behind locked doors like criminals.

Earlier in the night the drinks were reasonably priced (6 euro for Bacardi and coke), but after 2 am they began charging TEN EURO for the same drink. Maybe they think drunk people won't notice? Or they are taking advantage of tourists who would rather not speak up. There is no signage stating this price change anywhere. I told the management it was not acceptable to do that, and instead of providing good customer service and either offering me 4 euro back or a free drink or something, they kicked me out. Aside from that experience, There was a smoking room with absolutely no ventilation at all, so it burns your eyes to go into it when people are smoking in it. They get you in with 1 free drink for a 10 euro cover. The rum that was in mine tasted like it came from a toilet, literally. I hadn't even had anything to drink before showing up and the drink smelled and tasted so bad I almost dumped it back into where they probably got it from. But, the Bacardi's I purchased after were decent. All in all, aside from the awful management, the worst drink I've ever had, and deceptive pricing on drinks I had a good time dancing and the crowd was lively. Peut-être qu'ils pensent que les gens en état d'ébriété ne remarqueront pas ? Ou ils profitent de touristes qui préfèrent ne pas en parler. Il n'y a aucune signalisation indiquant ce changement de prix, n'importe où . J'ai dit à la direction qu'il n'était pas acceptable de le faire , et au lieu de fournir un bon service à la clientèle et soit m'offrant € 4 arrière ou une boisson gratuite ou quelque chose , ils m'ont mis à la porte . En dehors de cette expérience , y avait une salle fumeur avec absolument pas de ventilation du tout , il brûle les yeux pour y entrer quand les gens fument en elle . Ils vous reçoivent avec 1 boisson gratuite pour une couverture de 10 euros . Le rhum qui a été la mienne avait un goût qu'elle venait d'un WC , littéralement. Je n'avais même pas eu quelque chose à boire avant de se présenter et la boisson senti et goûté si mauvais j'ai presque vidé de nouveau dans où ils ont probablement obtenu à partir. Mais , je le de la Bacardi acheté après étaient décent . Dans l'ensemble , mis à part la gestion horrible , le pire boisson que j'ai jamais eu , et les prix trompeuses sur les boissons , j'ai eu un bon temps à danser et la foule était animée. We got there quite early after work so we managed to snag a sofa in the back by the window. They served cold water immediately which was a nice touch, as well as some sesame grissini. The two boys being English couldn't resist the fancy fun and tonic in a tea set :) I went for the Herme martini for 10 euro which had raspberry, litchi and rose which I really enjoyed. My other friend had the champagne cocktail with Cointreau and orange. We had a nice time and we will be back. I am curious to see how the menu will evolve and which new creations will show up. I loved having craft cocktails in Singapore and when I go to London so this is really a welcome addition to the scene in Old Nice as craft cocktails are few and far between. Worth trying :)

No beers on draft. They have a fine selection of house crafted cocktails and a great list of whiskeys. The music had a mix of rock from the 60s through contemporary tracks.
