I am in Europe traveling around and Bordeaux is a must visit place situated in southern France…read more This is the first dinner venue that I tried out and it is amazing. Ofcourse you cannot miss the wine in the wine capital of the world and I believe this venue has a pretty good collection of wine (I do recommend to visit the wineries around Bordeaux. They got wine tasting events all the time). Coming to food, I tried the Salmon. They make justice to my favorite fish. The venue is situated near St. Micheal's basilica and the view outside is breathtaking. There is nothing more refreshing than sitting in the middle of an old city staring at an amazing 14th century monument and enjoying some authentic French food with some good wine wine! Highly recommended

One of the finest in Bordeaux…read more Another school outing led us to this restaurant that can house over 90 of us! We went inside the restaurant where there were more outdoor seating with heat lamps to accommodate for those who were in the outside area. We started with charcuterie or salad for those who are vegetarian. Sweet red wine from Bordeaux and white (not sure what type it was since I didn't try it) were also given. The charcuterie was an assortment of spicy salami, sausage, and a very tender meat I couldn't figure out. Their tiny little pickles were very good and the mini salad as well! Our plat was duck and potatoes on top of it with what looked like gravy sauce. It was my first time eating duck and it had an interesting taste to it. It was boneless which was nice and it was crunchy on some parts. The meat was like pulled pork where it was easy to spread and eat. The meat was very well cut and sliced. The potato hugging the duck had an infusion of the duck which wasn't all that bad. The dessert of the day (dessert du jour) for January 27th, 2017 was a sort of chocolate soufflé is the best way I can describe it. We initially thought it was cake and ice cream, but this works well too! Inside the soufflé was a very sweet chocolate sauce and there was whip cream on the side to complement the richness of the chocolate. It was a good ending to the meal we had! For a nice restaurant in Bordeaux look no further than Le Passage!

Went here for lunch today - the service was wonderful! The location is great - located in the heart…read moreof the city, the typical Toulouse pink brick building opens its doors on Place Saint Georges and features a terrace you can enjoy. I got the lobster ravioli to start, the cod as my main (which was on mashed potatoes and butter), and the strawberry pavlova (a meringue-based dessert) for dessert, and definitely left feeling full. My dad got the marinated salmon that came not as expected but still good - it is cold vs cooked, and is a plate with a thin layer of salmon covering it and is marinated with lime. He then got the duck for his main and then the chocolate cake with blood orange sorbet which I didn't try but both him and my mother said was delicious. My mother ordered a la carte and got the lobster, which, for other pescatarians, note that it comes with chicken in it, as well as some mushrooms and small noodles. She said it was excellent but was unaware of the chicken. Other than that, we got a bottle of sparkling water, lemon wedges on the side, bread (which is great when dipped in the lobster ravioli sauce as it tastes like lobster bisque), and coffee (which comes with little chocolate desserts too). Solid traditional 100% homemade cuisine--100% fresh produce and local producers are in the spotlight--and, as mentioned, the icing on the cake is the pretty terrace on a pleasant square. Apparently the star of the place is the cassoulet so I'm sure that is good! Fun fact- It is a bourgeois reference for most of the city, the cassoulet temple, a beautiful house on one of the emblematic squares of this chic Saint-Georges district. Chef: Chistophe Fasan

My boyfriend and I were lucky enough to get the last table here at 8:30 pm on a Friday evening --…read moreif you are set on coming here, make a reservation in advance because this place is popular! It's a small restaurant, and best for parties of 2 or 4, since there is room only for about 30 people in the place. It looks like it's run by a husband and wife team, which is nice - the husband does all the cooking solo, and the wife does the rest. We both got different things for our prix-fixe (€30 per person), but if you don't want to do the prix fixe (there are usually 2-3 choices for the entree and plat du jour and dessert), you can do the a la carte option. Entree: - Profiterole de foie gras - These profiteroles topped with cooked red onions, with seared foie gras on top was one of my favorite appetizers I've had here in Toulouse. I love a good seared foie gras (I don't care for cold foie gras), and this was amazing. I would have been happy just coming here and ordering just this. - Escargots - My boyfriend got the escargots -- I'm not normally a huge fan of escargots, but these were cooked well and the garlicky oil sauce was great for dipping bread. Plats: - Poisson / Fish - The white fish was fresh and cooked nicely, the vegetables were also nice and fresh. - Poulet / Chicken - The chicken was good, with a truffle cream sauce - it was very rich and the vegetables also seemed a bit heavy, like it was cooked in a lot of butter. It was a good dish but just a bit rich for my taste. Desserts: - Pear Crepes - My boyfriend got the pear crepes and these were great, served with some ice cream. - Tartlette de chocolat noir - I normally love all desserts, especially ones with chocolate, but I found this to be a little bit dry for my taste. The chocolate sauce with the orange sorbet was good, but I didn't really like the tart itself. Overall, a good value for €30 per person for the 3-course prix fixe and I would definitely come back here again. I would definitely get the profiteroles with foie gras if it's on the menu! The only downside is that the meal is not super fast because there's only one person cooking, but I was impressed at how well he was able to cook everything by himself, for the entire restaurant.
