I am skiing in Dal Bello boots from Le Feet Lab that I have had for 10 years at least. It took some adjustments to get them perfect, but they have been the best ski boots I have ever had. They are getting old, so I will need to visit to get a new pair soon. I cannot recommend their expertise and skill at getting the boots right for YOUR feet highly enough. Welp, I don't really ever feel the need to review a business (even though I've worked at yelp and been to thousands of businesses using yelp) But here I am. I didn't know it was "rip off the desperate skiing tourist day" at le feet lab - when I went for a quick ski trip with friends about a week ago. But here I am. The lady Jacquelin was very nice and her dog Wyatt was even nicer, however being nice is one thing and being ripped off is another, I was sold a custom insole for $170 that was supposedly "able to open up the toe box" and "create circulation for my forefoot". That didn't happen. Inevitably, I experienced some of the most painful skiing I have ever felt, (consistent ikon pass holder been skiing for several years now) Consequently, I had no choice but to cut my planned 3 days on the mountain in half. All for the sake of trusting a "historically known", local small biz that had all these accolades on the wall. Big mistake. And... Still! to this day I feel immense pressure in the arches, balls, and heels of my feet where the insoles were supposedly "able to create support". But The espresso and ambiance were fantastic.... (Eye roll) I was told my boots would be extremely customizable when I bought them... and they are! The shell and liner should've been grinded, heated, and molded to shape the clunkiness of my unusual foot shape. However, Jacquelin said there was no need. Don't do what I did, Go to an actual boot fitter in the resort. read more

I was at the point where I thought I'd simply have to quit skiing. Years ago, a broken ankle left me with a plate and screws. I have no problems, no pain, until I put on my ski boots: the screws stick out a bit on each side---just enough to make it tortuous to wear a boot. I've had help from some of the best pros, in an effort to keep my boots (which are at least a half-size too big, to allow room for the screws). Even with the repeated effort to position silicone pads, it was agony. Jacqueline simply said the custom boot she'd fit would solve the problem. Yes, I was a bit skeptical, but hey, what did I have to lose? It either worked, or I'd give up. I now keep my fantastic boots on for up to 6 hours, never bothering to unbuckle them during breaks. Because they're the right size, I have gained tremendous control---no lag when I make any move, it translates directly to the skis. These boots are expensive, yes. But (at least for me) so worth it. I had insoles (orthotics) done by Jacqueline at Le Feet Lab this week. Not only do my boys feel like heaven now with my toes not falling asleep, but on her recommendation I've been using them in my shoes also. Normally after a day working on my ferry my back, legs and everything else hurts. since using her custom made insoles I still feel great at the end of the day! my only complaint is that I didn't do this sooner! she worked pure magic for me. Her knowledge and dedication to doing it right the first time is amazing! I'll be sending my husband in soon! This is a tough one. Personally, I love the family and the vibe and it pains me to present a somewhat negative opinion. Professionally, here is my review; They start heating up boots and signature liners to make you feel like you are locked into buying what has just happened in a split second. You will end up paying a bit above retail for a boot shell then a $400 liner that is pretty good. Bottom line, you are paying $950.00 for a $400 boot, 40 minutes of salesmanship (and fitting) and a decent $400.00 liner. The owner is an amazing guy who has spent his life in the business. The walls of the shop are a testament of what he has contributed to the industry...20 years ago. My recommendation, (as a guy who skis for his profession and has done so for over 15 years), research a great pair of boots based on what you do (down hill, race, AT etc) then buy the boots online at the best price. Ski the boots. Then bring here. But, stick with your boots and have them fit the boots to your feet. If that doesn't work, just buy the custom liners and spend a few days fitting them to your feet in the original boots you bought at a great price. Again, this shop knows how to fit boots to the pros but also know how to turn a profit on the unsuspecting. They are probably the best best boot shop in the area. Bottom line, great shop but know what you want. read more

I have to disagree with Frank (review from 2017). I never thought that I would spend a grand on boots but I was desperate. I got the complete set up, complete with orthotics and heaters (added a couple of years after) for around $1000. I have never regretted it. The level of service was outstanding from the day I got them until now, about 9 years later. I am currently having some health issues and cannot ski this year but will be back next year. I have a new foot problem and think that I need new liners. I will rely on Jacqueline's judgment. read more

I went to Surefoot last year in Breckenridge and had boots made for myself and my wife. She loved hers and mine were absolute torture. I have never been in such pain while skiing. Ruined my trip. I then took the boots to the Steamboat location and they completely remade the boots for me. They still killed me. Unfortunately my house is in Winter Park and I did not want to drive all the way back to Breck, so I stopped in to Le Feet Lab to see if Jacques could do anything to make this investment pay off. Basically Jaques told me that the boots I had been sold (Lange) were 2 sizes too big, way too stiff for my skiing style, and had way too much ankle volume for my feet. I also have some plantar fasciitis which was causing the pain as my foot stretched over the Surefoot orthotic. Jaques made me a new pair of Dalbello Rampage boots with a zipfit liner. I have been back in his shop many times getting everything fine tuned and now I have a super comfortable pair of boots that I love. Jaques and his team have been extremely tolerant and helpful as I have tried to get my boots dialed in. I have some idiosyncratic biomechanical issues that make the Surefoot boots agonizing. Jaques understands how my legs are built and has been patient with me. His advice is expert and I would recommend him without hesitation. Be aware that this is not a place to go and just buy ski boots. It is a boot fitting shop where you are buying into a process, not just a product. Perhaps if I lived near a Surefoot I could have gotten similar results over time, but I'll never know because I'm never putting on those Surefoot boots again. The message is that you should buy custom boots from a shop where you ski regularly because it may not be a simple process. That worked for my wife, but not for me. By the way, Surefoot refused to refund any part of my money. read more

We had the best experience here. The owner/daughter duo are just genuinely sweet and very knowledgeable people. I had experienced chronic foot pain for several years that was not getting better even after seeing two specialists and trying several things--steroid shots, foot brace, etc. My husband also had ankle pain that went unresolved for several months. We went to Le Feet Lab per recommendation from a local and were both fitted for a custom orthotic. The owner said my pain should be completely gone within 3 weeks or so. The orthotic added some support but I didn't truly believe it would finally solve the chronic pain issue. Sure enough, about 3 weeks later the pain was gone!! I wear them daily and the pain hasn't returned. Well worth the $100 or so it was for a custom fit and consultation. HIGHLY RECOMMEND this place. I'll come to Winter Park from Austin just to get new ones when needed. Thank you!! read more

He took such care and time to each person he was working on to get things perfect. Le Feet Lab understands the foot and moreover cares about making things more comfortable for skiers. I ended up going back for an adjustment with Jacques, who is so sharp when it comes to feet! I am so grateful to have gone there and I would definitely recommend Le Feet to everyone.
