Ms. Debbie's unconditional compassion, love, support, dedication, time, and effort shows through each class that passes through the studio, and most importantly through our recital weekend. With another recital weekend behind us, it is evident that Ms. Debbie goes above and beyond what is expected in order to make this show a success. Despite having to run around and delegate a thousand responsibilities, resolve issues, and make sure every child remains safe, she somehow stills finds time to help with the little things like moving a prop off stage or helping someone do their hair before performing. I can't imagine many owners doing the same if "all they care about is taking your money." One thing that continues to inspire me about Ms. Debbie is her strength. She is not one to easily pass off responsibilities because she wants to ensure that every aspect of recital weekend (and throughout the year) runs smoothly and as fair as possible. Taking on the challenge of this chaotic weekend and the months of preparation leading up to it is no easy task!! Lastly, Ms. Debbie is so well-loved; she graciously passes on her passion for dance to every student she encounters. I am always in awe by how many students come up to her on a daily basis saying that they miss her and love her. Some of these students she has never even had before! That is the loving energy that Ms. Debbie gives off; I don't know about you, but that is something that is not so easy to come across today. A simple "thank you" is never enough to show how much the teachers, staff, students, and Ms. Debbie have shaped me into the person I am today. Even more special than that, Ms. Debbie gave me a dance studio that I can call "home."

While other studios are driven by greed and how many gigantic trophies they can accumulate, Ms. Debbie has always put the dance education of her students first and foremost and does not settle for anything less than that from her staff. Briana was so kind and wonderful on the phone. I called on a Sunday and she pulled the potential sizes ahead of time. Originally, I was not going to bring my son. Briana encouraged me to bring him in order to have him try them on in person. I am so glad I listened! My ETA was 12:01pm and the store was due to close at noon. Briana said no worries, she would stay in order for me to try the shoes on. WOW! By the time we found parking it was 12:05pm we scored a great spot a block away) and we called Briana to advise we were walking up now. She was so sweet; so personable and assured us that she would stay open for us to arrive. Turns out my son was a larger and wider size and Briana had just the size and width that we needed! She was absolutely lovely! We plan to enroll in a class because she is amazing and the school is wonderful too! Thank you Briana for your exceptional customer service!

I agree with Stephanie L., Buddy is a sweety and always focuses and assists with the correct technique... as far as Suzanne M.'s review... i totally disagree because I've taken Ms. Miller's Adult class and i have ABSOLUTELY NO RHYTHM, and her patience with me is ridiuclous! lol Besides, if you look at Suzanne's reviews, she ONLY leaves negative reviews anyways lol! They even have a dance store! which is such a convenience since there aren't much in the area. So yes I def recommend this place, just make sure you get their early because parking can be hard since it's right off Bloomfield ave!

They were so kind from the very start and happily sent one of their instructors, Artem, to join us. He was so friendly and an excellent teacher and we all learned a very fun line dance and everyone had a great time! I highly recommend having an Arthur Murray dance instructor come to your next party!

Lauren was so kind and allowed her to use a credit to try at a later date. We signed up 10 months later and my daughter actually gave the class a try on her own! As a young kiddo, trying a class without mom can be hard but Lauren the owner was really helpful in her advice and giving my daughter another opportunity when she was ready. We look forward to more classes here as she grows :)

Well, the gym decided to restructure and Maryann moved on. So, I followed her. She's THAT GREAT. Zumba is a great workout: high intensity cardio that feels like a party. Sounds cliche, but it true. Zumba with Maryann takes it up a notch because Maryann herself is AMAZING. Such a fun personality, she allows you to relax and not take yourself too seriously. Because, if you take yourself too seriously, Zumba is NOT for you. You need to let loose, let the music move you and just enjoy yourself. I did, and so far I have lost 57 pounds. And counting. After many experiences in deferent dance schools my daughter finally found the perfect one! My…read moredaughter absolutely loves to dance, but she is 6 years old so I don't expect much. She was going to different schools since she was three and honestly she didn't like any and hated many teachers. Mostly because it felt that teachers didn't really want to put any effort in teaching little kids because they knew there would be no showing off any successful dance or participating in competitions, children are too little. But in Alma dance academy I feel like teacher just loves to teach, she is absolutely fantastic at it and she just loves the process and loves kids. I see her with my daughter who is 6, see her with 2 year olds and 12 year olds - she is an incredible teacher to all of them - patient, motivating, energetic and just pure joy to be around. Thank you for teaching my daughter flamenco, she keeps saying how much she loves her teacher and the dancing. All thanks to Alma dance academy.
