Délicieux!!!! JY's deserves their two Michelin stars without any doubt. This was the most…read moreinnovative but not overwrought meal I have ever eaten. The presentation of each dish was delightful and the service was impeccable. We went for lunch as dinner was booked weeks in advance. When we stepped through the exterior door two people parted the velvet curtains for us to enter. Three people helped us with our coats then we were seated at a stunning table in the middle of the restaurant featuring a black chandelier and two tufted aubergine leather sofas. They immediately brought out stuffed olives hanging from a tree, them an amazing array of amuse-bouche. We ordered the four course which ended up being about 12 by the time we finished. I am not going to detail every dish as that would get boring, but do look at my photos. They were very accommodating with my gluten free needs and even had GF bread. Ever change of course had two people to replace utensils simultaneously. They anticipated our needs before we had any. It was a grand event!

I had dinner at the wonderful JY'S on October 4, 2016…read more We had the 7 courses menu (see my pictures), which consisted of: -) Amuses bouche 1) Esturgeon fumé sur une macédoine de légumes, sauce hollandaise citronnée en espuma, Caviar Osciètre 2) Langoustine royale avec des asperges vertes en chaud-froid de parmesan, navets glaçon et sauce satey 3) Noix de St Jacques (scallop) en croûte de soja avec des algues wakamé aux fines nouilles de sarrasin et son émulsion au parmesan 4) Rouget barbet cuit entier avec des cannellonis de brocolettis assaisonnés d'une légère anchoïade, ris de veau croustillants et jus de betterave 5) Poitrine de pigeonneau fumé au thym citronné légèrement croustillant, petites blettes et carotte multicolores 6) Stilton Cheese avec une gelée de pommes, gel de pêche et melon d'eau mariné à la sangria -) Pré-desserts (I want more 'eggs'!) 7) Quetsches rôties et cannelloni farci avec une chantilly à l'eau-de-vie, crème glacée à la cannelle, bavarois à la vanille, meringue et crumble -) Mignardises Although I would usually NEVER do this when ordering a Chef's menu, I made two changes. My friend had the 'real' menu. I exchanged course 6 and 7. Course 6 cause I'm allergic to apples, and course 7 because I've been craving tarte de citron for months. Instead I had: 6) Roulé de brebis aux tomates confites et pesto à la roquette 7) Fine tartelette au citron déstructurée avec un sorbet au saké Unfortunately, the roulé was simply to 'heavy' for a 7 course meal, and I only ate very little of it. Moreover, when my friend got her course 6 I saw the gels were nice put aside on the place, and I could simply have avoided them. Too bad. The tartelette I don't regret. The citrus was a perfect supplement to an already wonderful dinner. All the courses were so light, that it is quite the surprise when suddenly you realise just how full you are. (It happened for us during the pigeon.) In the end, we had to take the chocolates with us home, we simply couldn't eat one bit more. Definitely worth a visit.

It was very good with generous toppings and prices were pretty good too (8-11 euros for a tarte flambé). No idea about their steak - everyone around us was having tarte flambé. But it looks like the kind of place that only serves things it is good at making. It's decor is nice, it's in an old farmhouse that also serves as a B&B (where we stayed for the night).
