Following loud remonstrations from the couple at the next table, service recommenced . Starters and salads were normal, mediocre stuff. Removing the meat items from the surface (duck and sausage) revealed a solid dry mass of white beans, stuck to the pot and beyond the capability of fork or knife. Oh dear! We decided to leave without chancing dessert. Le St Jean offers classy surroundings with reasonable prices. Service was charming when available and it's a great place to sit with a drink. But the place suffers from the complacency that comes with the location in a World Heritage Site. Cassoulet is the local speciality and a simple dish to prepare.
