The owner has a passion for tea and you truly come to understand that trying her teas as well as talking to her. She also has a passion as an epicure. While I was there, I wanted to order one of her poke bowls. She insisted that I order the poke bowl du jour which had the typical poke ingredients. But on that particular day, it also had marinated raw steak. I was afraid to try it but she insisted so I did, and you know what?? I really liked it! It turns out she owns a gourmet restaurant, Cocottes et Bouchons, where she serves traditional French cuisine typical of Lyonnaise cuisine. Go there for dinner for it is a treat you should not miss. We walked in and they were busy because their card machine was down. We looked over the pastry options and then their system came back up. We ordered a baguette, a croissant and a small box of macaroons. Both the croissant and the baguette were amazing. The macaroons were stale and gross. I was surprised but then I saw the same ones at the airport and realized it a third party. They must have been sitting there for a while. Sad because I really was expecting great macaroons in Paris. Otherwise, I would get a baguette again any day!
