Stayed here two summers ago as a base for our exploration of Provence. The village of Graveson, where this house is located, is itself not a destination, but it is central to the must-see towns of Avignon and Arles. Le Cadran Solaire is a charming centuries-old stone house with a wrought iron gate and pleasant garden, which is what I imagined a French country home would be. The interior is tastefully decorated in French provincial style. Our family room (two comfortable bedrooms connected with a bath) was spacious. Breakfast is continental, which means pastries and fruit. You have the choice of having breakfast at the inn (in the dining room or in the garden) or going elsewhere if you wish to partake of a heavier breakfast. The husband and wife who run the inn are amiable, helpful and friendly to customers. Because there is not a lot of places to dine at in Graveson, we would go to nearby St. Rhemy for dinner or eat at whatever Provencal village we happened to be touring that day. By the way, another plus for this inn is that it is air-conditioned, which is a boon during hot summer months. read more
