At the last minute, I called Petals & Blooms and asked them to put together a beautiful arrangement for us. They hit it out of the park -- the arrangement is absolutely fabulous and will be placed just below the podium at the ceremony. Thank you so much for listening to what I was envisioning and putting together such a wonderful arrangement. We now feel like we will be there in spirit. I ordered flowers that were arranged and delivered from this florist, through Bouquet.ca…read more(Fleuriste.ca). When they arrived they did not remotely resemble what was ordered. It's not even that they made simple substitutions to the arrangement that was ordered, they substituted the entire arrangement. I still remember when it was a Polo Ralph Lauren outlet at one point. But for the last 10 years or so, it's now a bookstore with substantial backing by world-famous author Louise Penny, our home-grown version of Agatha Christie. The store is also a hub for the local literary scene with local writers' books prominently featured. Very upscale nouveau country, there's a Louise Penny corner and a map where reader-fans can pin where they come from in the world. The map is positively packed with pins from literally every corner in earth. Casual vibes, I was surprised that there was even an occult/new age section for books along with the usual sections for food, travel, politics, kids and young adults.
