Our favorite meal in Bruxelles! Small, family owned trendy eatery located near the EU headquarters Lolo was truly a five star dining experience. The service here is excellent and we even had the owner wait on us. She was one of the most friendly people we met on our entire trip. We had been out all day and were STARVING! One of our friends had done some Googling of restaurants and asking the Concierge on places for dinner and narrowed it down to Lolo. This restaurant is a bit of a hike from Lower Town, so we jumped in a cab and headed across the city. The four of us were greeted and seated at a nice table in the center of the restaurant. Our server/owner came right over and started chatting with us and told us about her restaurant. I was scanning the room and already scoping out dishes on the other tables. The problem is everything looked so good and I knew I was going to have trouble deciding what to order. We split a few starters and after we devoured those like hungry hyenas it was time to make our main selections. I went with one of the simplest dishes on the entire menu. A bowl of pasta in red sauce. But let me tell you, this pasta dish was far from being plain. It ended up being one of the favorites at the table. Look noodles perfectly cooked to al dente in a flavorful sauce that I still dream about to this day. It was the perfect dish to help refuel my tired body. The desserts are not to be missed.
