Salina did my hair and it came out great! She really paid attention to detail, blowing drying my hair thoroughly and smoothly before adding curls. The salon is really cute and went through a remodel recently (I commented on the brick wall design separating the shampoo room and was informed of the new updates). They were busy the whole time I was in. Every chair was full with a mix of regular clients and others like me getting styled for weddings (tis the season!). Since I came to yelp looking for guidance when I needed to book, it only felt right to give this salon a shoutout and of course the hairdresser who took good care of me.

I was impressed when I learned the same people have been working there for ages. Their professionalism was fantastic as well. The two ladies there worked as a team. One of them started washing my hair as she had a little time before her next appointment came in, her colleague was finishing up with another client. She took over as soon as she finished seamlessly. They easily could have had me wait, so I truly appreciated that. When the phone rang, they would check with each other to see who was best positioned to answer it and did so promptly. You don't see that every day! I really appreciate that they didn't try to sell me hair products, or attempt to upsell me on a more expensive service. Most importantly, they did a great job on my hair! They completely understood what I wanted, and when it was over, I walked out a happy woman. I felt the price was reasonable too. $40 for a wash, cut and blow dry is great, especially since I have long hair, and I get charged extra for that in a lot of places. I look forward to becoming a regular customer!

Our room was ready and check-in went smoothly. We stayed in a suite with a king-size bed. The bed was fantastic. The room was beautifully decorated and the bathroom was quite large. After we settled in we stopped in Ascots Pub for lunch. We grabbed a Kensington Burger. It was excellent. Perfectly cooked on a delicious Brioche roll. I also had a fantastic beer recommended by Maria our bartender who was awesome! The beer was Thomas Hooker No filter. Excellent IPA. Very crisp , not to hoppy wits definite citrus taste. For dinner we went to Kensingtons. Classy high end restaurant with great atmosphere and service. We started with drinks. Old fashioned for me , lemon drop martini for my beautiful wife. Both great. For dinner . I started with the New England clam chowder. Very good, not as good perhaps Newport RI where my wife is from but for a Long Island guy pretty good. A bit of pepper did the trick. My wife had filet mignon medallions which included puffy potato crochets . She said the potatoes were pillowy and amazing. Steak was delicious. 2 nice sized pieces seasoned and cooked to perfection I had the Ricotta gnocchi. Good, not great for me. I enjoyed the gnocchi but it was too busy with excessive vegetables and such. Still, quite tasty. The following day we attended our family wedding. Awesome time. Most of which was just centered around our family and enjoying a great time! However, the food was great, the staff was efficient and friendly. It's easy to fall asleep whether you are in the relaxation room or during a treatment. My granddaughter really wanted to get a massage but was a bit uncertain so we opted for the duet massage. We were in adjoining rooms with an accordion door that opened up so we could enjoy the massages together. The ladies did such a good job on us. We left feeling very relaxed. My granddaughter had a facial and her skin was absolutely glowing afterwards. She was happy to have had it done and kept talking about how soft her skin felt. We had lunch at Kensington's. We shared a delicious appetizer of Korean fried chicken. For lunch she ordered the steak frites and enjoyed every morsel. I had the caprese flatbread, which was delicious and light. Perfect for a day at the spa. We enjoyed the amenities they offer very much. There is a pool, hot tub and sauna to use throughout your visit. They offer complimentary snacks in the afternoon just outside of the spa entrance. She was so relaxed that she slept most of the 45 minute drive home. I'm so glad they allow 14 year olds there. My granddaughter wants to make this an annual event each year. She thought it was nice to walk around all day in a robe as well as enjoying everything the Spa has to offer. I'm hoping next year we can stay at the Inn. I've stayed there many times and love it.
