This is absolutely worth the $70 price! There are a few possible discounts, too - $5 off for cash, $10 off for groups of 6+ or get on the 8AM or 9:30AM boat to start your fun filled day at LBI. There is also a $25 photo package where the crew member will take photos on a digital camera and give you a disc afterward. My 7-year-old son and I (yep, everyone except infants and pregnant women can ride) did this for the first time yesterday. There is no discount for children, though. Started off signing some waivers, and then with a short boat ride to the parasailing "section." This trip was in the bay as the ocean was "like a washing machine" according to the staff. I was on the boat with a family of 8, and they let us go first as we were rookies at this. When we got to the start, the crew decided to change the chute to the larger one, so we had a short delay of a few minutes. They set up the bigger chute, and got my son and I on the rear deck of the new 2011 boat. We during the first part of the ride were given life vests and a seating harness. With the chute fully opened and in the air, we were hooked into the caribeaners and seating. In a few seconds, we were airborn! Flying! We were anywhere from 350 to 500 feet in the air, and it was a lot of fun to see the 360' views for miles. We even were "close" enough to wave to other boats and be waved back to. You could carry on a conversation, and the breeze was nice and not loud. The boat made some zigzags and slowed down to get up and down in the chute, and you spend about 10-15 minutes in the air. Then, they pull you back and at the very end if you wish, they can dip you into the water. It can be just your feet, or up to your neck! I was surprised at how warm the bay water was. Since we went first, my son and I got to sit on the boat drying off while everyone else went - sometimes in triple, or doubles. The crew and staff were very professional, and likable. There were no problems at all with our tour. They boast a 100% safety record. The entire trip lasts about 1 to 1 1/2 hours depending on how many are in the boat going. I highly recommend going parasailing while you're on vacation in LBI! I'll be back! read more

Disappointing as there is no experience to rate. We booked our excursion the night before and the next day were in an automobile accident, with injuries, as we were traveling to the excursion site. After contacting LBI parasailing we were told that a refund was not possible, they have a full boat and it is a beautiful day. My husband called LBI parasailing even before the ambulance arrived to the scene of the accident to ensure communication was provided as quickly as feasible. Very very very very disappointing customer service experience. We will be returning to LBI quite frequently moving forward as we have been afforded a very good opportunity for frequent housing. Our future visits will include parasailing but will not be with LBI parasailing. read more

I went parasailing over Barnegat lighthouse in LBI a few days ago. What a great experience! We went out in the boat with approx 10 people. Both of the people running the boat and the parasail were professional and experienced. We felt incredibly safe the whole time. They also dip you in the water at the end (if you want to), which was a lot of fun. For only $35, they took great pics of our party of 7 and downloaded the pics to our phone before we left. This is the 3rd time we've parasailed with LBI Parasail and Ty and his crew do a terrific job, regardless of experience level. Most recently, I went with my son, daughter and sister in law. Very professional crew, I felt safe the entire time. Amazing grow from up there, I could see diesels of stingrays. The waiting area has the tiki board game witch is pretty fun and a bench with an umbrella. One reviewer said they were doing the leg motion to say they were having problems, when I was on the boat and it was not my turn I found it really hard to see and distinct motion, a better motion would be flapping arms or tucking in legs. I wouldn't recommend eating right before, it is a fairly bumpy ride when on the boat. If you get motion or sea sickness definitely don't go. Over all a good experience and I would go again 10/10 read more

I have watched this operation for years and finally took my two kids for a parasail. I booked online and found it easy and great email communication throughout the process. Checking in was super easy and we only had to fill out a simple waiver for my younger son. We chose to get the "photo package" which turned out great and was down with considerable thought. Ty was careful and certainly knew his way around the waters and the crew was awesome. We also enjoyed the music! We celebrated my neice's 16th birthday by taking the family parasailing. The participants on the boat ranged in age from 7 to 54 years old and all had a great time. I went with a group this past Saturday (7/8/2017) to LBI Parasail. There were 7 of us; However, only 5 of us participated while the other 2 sat on the boat and watched. I went on with my girlfriend. Before anyone went up in the air, we were informed that if anything was wrong while we were up there, we were to give a distinct signal with our legs that the crew members designated so that they could pull us in. Once it was our turn, we got up smoothly but after a few minutes my girlfriend felt sick. She said she was going to throw up so we began giving the signal with our legs so the crew could bring us down. After a couple of minutes of no response from the crew to our signal, my girlfriend proceeded to throw up both on herself as well as me. I then began screaming as loud as I could to get their attention but since they play music on the boat, nobody can here a single thing. Now, we are giving the signal and screaming for them to stop while my girlfriend continues to vomit. After 10 minutes of this, we finally are brought down. Not because of the signal, but because our time was up. From 300 feet away, to the boat itself, we were giving the signal, yelling and screaming, and begging them to stop taking pictures of us. Once we finally reached the boat, both crew members did not acknowledge anything besides the wedgie I had from shaking my legs back and forth for the signal. I then confronted them about the issue and told them what happened, yet they proceeded to give excuses as to why they didn't see us and never apologized once. The group that we were with told us that they noticed us giving the signal and told the crew immediately; However, both crew members told them "they are probably just doing it by mistake". That is a disgrace. If you make a signal for people who need to come down then you should follow the procedure. Not only did you ignore us, but then lied to us about not seeing the signal. A new procedure needs to be put in place or new crew members need to be hired immediately. Being 300 feet in the air in need of help but having nobody there to help you is an extremely traumatizing experience and nobody should have to go through that. LBI Parasail is extremely lucky that the only issue we had was nausea. Someone could have a heart attack while in the air, and if the crew ignores them and lies to them like they did to us, then they would be in serious trouble. Not only would that person either die or be seriously impaired, but the company itself could be in serious jeopardy. This situation CANNOT happen ever again. LBI Parasail needs to make some changes quickly before something like this happens again. I do not want to use names, but we were there on Saturday 7/8/17 at 11 AM. As for the crew, you know who you are. As for LBI Parasail, check your schedule for Saturday to see your crew during this time and hopefully you will do something about this. read more
