He and his team arrived on time, were very courteous, worked quickly, and the finished product looks great. I'm very pleased with the result and would recommend DC Lawn to others.

Unfortunately, the entire experience was extremely disappointing from start to finish. The project was originally scheduled as a two-day job during the last week of May. Prior to that date, we received multiple calls confirming the schedule, but we also received several calls asking us to reschedule to the exact date that was already on the calendar. This immediately raised concerns about their organization and scheduling process. When the scheduled week arrived, the company postponed the job by one week. The following week, they postponed it again and changed what was supposed to be a two-day project into a Friday-only start date. About an hour after work began, one of the technicians came to our door and informed us that they believed they had damaged our internet line. We immediately checked and confirmed that our internet service was no longer working. The technician apologized, and we contacted our internet provider. After digging trenches throughout both our front and back yards, the crew left for the weekend, leaving open trenches across the property with no markings, flags, or warnings indicating trip hazards. This was particularly concerning because rain was forecasted for the entire weekend. When work resumed the following week, the irrigation system was partially completed. However, the condition in which our property was left was unacceptable. We had recently installed healthy Bermuda sod before the project began. After the work was completed, sections of our Bermuda sod had been replaced with what appeared to be inexpensive centipede sod in the front yard, while portions of the back yard were left as exposed dirt with no replacement sod at all. In addition, mud and dirt were left on our porches, flower beds, new fence, storage shed, and even in neighboring areas. I have photographs documenting the condition of the property after the work was completed. When I contacted the company to express my concerns, I specifically requested that someone other than the original technician come evaluate the situation. I was told a manager would come out, but instead the technician returned. While he attempted to clean some areas, the sod issues remained unresolved. After another call, both a manager and the General Manager visited the property. They reviewed the damage but offered no meaningful resolution. Regarding the internet line, the General Manager stated he would need to speak with the technician because he was not convinced the company had caused the damage. Meanwhile, our internet provider confirmed that the line had been damaged. While they were able to repair the exterior portion, they informed us that the line had been pulled hard enough that additional damage existed inside the walls of our home, requiring an electrician to run a new line. The communication that followed was even more frustrating. The General Manager left a voicemail saying I needed to return his call before noon because he would be leaving for the day. We called back twice before noon and were told he was unavailable and in meetings. We were then told the owner would contact us. The owner never called. The next day, the General Manager called and stated that after speaking with the owner, the only offer they were willing to make was a $500 reduction on the remaining balance. When we requested to speak directly with the owner, we were refused and told the General Manager was speaking on the owner's behalf. When we attempted to discuss the damaged internet line, the electrician costs, and the unfinished sod replacement, the General Manager repeated that $500 was the only offer. He then stated that if we wanted anything more, "I'll see you in court," and hung up on us. As a result of this project, we have incurred additional expenses for internet repairs, electrical work, replacement sod, sod installation labor, and professional pressure washing to clean mud and debris left throughout our property. What should have been a straightforward irrigation installation turned into an expensive and stressful ordeal. Mistakes can happen on any project. What truly disappointed us was the lack of accountability, poor communication, refusal to allow us to speak with ownership, and the way our concerns were handled throughout the process. Based on our experience, I would not recommend this company.

When I attempted to correct the payroll information so my check could process properly, the response was dismissive; the owner's wife, Molly, was dismissive and indifferent. She brushed me off saying "we're closed," never followed up, and left their HR confused about my identity & submitted documents. On top of that, not a single word from, Andrew, the owner. Just left my messages on read when attempting to resolve an issue. Communication from the owners was nonexistent--vague instructions, no clear direction, and zero accountability. Customer reviews echo the same failures: poor communication, unreliable service, and unfulfilled promises. This company demonstrates zero respect for its employees or clients. One day was more than enough. I strongly advise anyone considering to work here to look elsewhere. Avoid Blue Heron Landscaping entirely--there are far better opportunities that VALUE people and HONOR commitments. Will file a complaint to the Alabama Attorney General's Office - Consumer Interest Division.

Recently, they cut my drip lines to some pots. Thankfully they did come to fix it. however, when they cut holes in my siding was the final straw. I sent photos on 10/23 of all the areas damaged. Molly said she'd address with the foreman to see what we need to do. on 11/5 I still hadn't heard back, so I reached out again. She said she was still trying to find someone to come out to fix it. on 12/5 I really wanted the house power washed, so I reached out again, letting her know although I think the company should pay for the repairs, I wanted my siding fixed so I paid for it myself, and wouldn't require their services anymore. I still have no response. I would never recommend them to anyone.
