So pleasantly surprised. My wife and I live in Raleigh, NC and needed immediate inspection of the…read morefloor, sub-floor and joist system. Residential Contractor assistance in the current Raleigh building boom is suspect, at best so, honestly, I was still suspect. Tar Heel Basement scheduled me, but I'd called back needing next day inspection in attempt to fix a tile issue. No problem, they'd said.. so they sent someone from their other operation to support me. Me! Thank you Tar Heel Basement Systems, for focusing on the customer and building a capable brand. Tar Heel Basement Systems representative met me onsite and we reviewed the area. He not only looked at the area in that part of the house, but advised me on my crawlspace and the other floors in the house. I could not have been more impressed. In the end, the gentleman said, "Sir, you're in good shape here, you have a clean bill-of-health". Perfectly done - Thanks Tar Heel, for your professionalism and swift support. Had this been my own General Contractor, or one of the many subs... well, I have no doubt that I would have instead been quoted a large-sum. Thank you, Tar Heel Basement Systems. Professional. Realistic. Honest. Ethical.

Fast forward to now: They reached out saying that they wanted to come out to inspect their work from last year. Turned out it was just a sales pitch try to sell us more product. The sales person pointed out some shoddy work and said they would repair it under warranty. Now, crickets. We played phone tag for a while, but now they just won't reply. My issue is the dishonesty of claiming they wanted to "inspect their work" to make a sale, then run away when we ask them to make good.
