I would give 0 stars if I could. I took my computer in for some freezing issues I was having. They said they would do a virus check. Then hard drives and other hardware. After a week I got my computer back and it was still doing the same thing. I called and found out after they found viruses they quit looking at anything else. They said to bring it back in no charge. NO CHARGE I hope not after they didn't do what they said they would do in the first place. I paid 185.00 for a virus check! I did not take it back - it's obvious they take shortcuts and your money. Dishonest Business: This Company have proven to me to me to be a dishonest Company. (Money Grabbing. Previously, I talked to Nicole about Cloning my HP Desktop Computer to a SSD Drive. When I took the Computer in Nicole wasn't there and a young man took the Computer in. He tried to Clone the Computer as requested Nicole to do. He destroyed the Optane drive and a 1TB Seagate drive. I talked to craig about it craig said he had a camera shot of me dropping the drive. He wanted me to go in. I did not because of COVID. I knew that never happened. When I get to see my Lawyer I will find out from Him if he can legally have him to pay Attorney fees and he will have to produce that video of me dropping the hard drive. (It was drives). they fixed some various different issues with my laptop that other places in the area could not fix in a timely manner. including issues with my system and my hardware. they also did not hesitate to help me get set up with a docking station for my monitors and my laptop when i asked. they charged me a flat rate for labor, and then for the parts. just to give people who dont know anything about business a heads up, a flat rate of 150 bucks for labor is a very good deal if you need anything substantial or diagnostic done to your computer. that is only 3 hours at 50 bucks an hour, which is very competitive, especially if you are getting multiple things done at once read more

I had the pleasure of remotely dealing with Craig and Corey of LB Computers of Lake Charles. I say remotely, because I live in Houston, but my 93 year old father is in Lake Charles. Dad fell for some ransomware and his computer got screwed up pretty badly. He called me, as I'm a technician myself and I had his computer set so I can log into it and support his PC myself but his computer was so messed up, there was very little I could do from Houston. Craig had helped Dad before, so I told my father to call him again, but when he got there, to ask him to call me. At his age, Dad gets confused so i wanted to speak to him myself. Craig was very helpful in that he tried to see what he could do on the spot, but Dad's PC was so messed up, he couldn't do anything. He and I discussed it and he made Dad an EXCELLENT deal on a newer machine, more updated operating system and gave him a great deal on the set up process. He assisted me with a different way of setting up Team Viewer so I could support Dad even better from here on out. I am pleased to recommend LB Computers for your repair and other IT needs. By far the worst repair shop I've ever dealt with they fixed nothing and in fact broke my laptop even more. Then sent me back to the company I bought the laptop from saying they would handle it which set me on a whole other complicated quest as what they sent me to contact them wasn't even the right format or anything I needed. The only issue I had bringing it in was the screen yet when they attempt to fix it or at least figure out the issue the whole motherboard gets broke. So they pretty much scammed me out of 120 dollar for there labor when all they did was take it apart look at it break it even more and put it back together not even figuring out the actual issue. I could tell they didn't know what they were doing especially when they advertise a avast antivirus software that actually puts malware and virus on your device. Then not even having the actual issue of the device instead just saying the screens broke and the motherboard broke after we put it back together everything just felt wrong sketchy and kinda like a scam. Needless to say don't waste your time or money and make sure the people working on your devices are professionals but that was just my experience. They didn't seem like they cared that much and didn't put a lot of time or effort in just took it apart broke it put it back together took my money and sent me to someone else that actual know what there doing. read more
