It is a safe, comfortable atmosphere. Even when I mutilated Barracuda Saturday night (havent sang that one in ten years), SO supportive. Its my goto place to try new songs and just relax. Nearly everyone there that comes in is laid back, too.

Atrocious service. My girlfriend and I arrived minutes before 1 am last Saturday when the owner…read moreyelled the bar is already closed. I tried to explain to her that we had to drive a ways to get to her establishment and we had money to spend. There were other people in the bar too. The owner started cursing and directing personal insults. She even accused me of breaking my girlfriend's cue on her pool table.(false) I tried to explain that I would not be back and the owner shouted "good". The bar owner repeatedly accused us of having arrived at 1 am and expecting her to serve us. I guess we were guilty as charged. What bar closes before 1 am on a Saturday? I would not recommend this establishment to anyone due to the service. Also, The Far Side Lounge closes early almost every night of the week, even on weekends. My pool team was going to start practicing at the Far Side on Sundays. We have decided not to do business at this establishment in the future.

We drove all the way to Colorado Springs specifically to experience the Stranger Things pop-up…read moredinner at the Wobbly Ollie, and I can honestly say--it did not disappoint. From the moment you walk in, the immersion is incredible. The outside is set up as Castle Byers, and then you walk through a short hallway designed to look like the middle school dance floor from Season 2. Right away, you know they put real thought into the details. Once you enter the main seating area, it gets even better. They had Chrissy on the ceiling from Season 4 (yes, that scene), the couch from the Byers' house, and the iconic alphabet wall with the Christmas lights. Our table even had a Pac-Man game built in that we could play while we waited--such a cool touch. The themed menu was great, with a whole lineup of Stranger Things-inspired drinks. I ordered the waffle sliders, which are tiny waffles with a burger inside, served with fries. They were absolutely delicious--perfectly sweet and savory at the same time. My son ordered the large TV-tray-style plate inspired by the show, complete with turkey and gravy, stuffing, green bean casserole, and more. Everything on his plate was genuinely delicious and comforting. Even though the Stranger Things pop-up is no longer available (they rotate themes--SpongeBob is currently up), I'm so glad we made the drive. The experience was fun, immersive, the food was solid, and we got a ton of great pictures. I would absolutely do it all over again and can't wait to see what theme they roll out next. If you enjoy themed dining experiences, the Wobbly Ollie is 100% worth the trip.

My daughter and I came here for their Taylor Swift speakeasy night--how fun is that, right? We…read morecalled ahead because we were running a little late, and I wish I could remember the name of the guy who answered. He was incredibly friendly and reassuring... and honestly, they didn't seat us on time anyway, so it all worked out! The whole setup was super cute, and everyone in the speakeasy looked like they were straight out of an Eras tour concert. The themed cocktails were cleverly named after Taylor's songs. Yes, they were a bit pricey, but you're really paying for the ambience and the whole experience. And the food? Shockingly good! For a kitschy, themed event, we didn't expect high-quality dishes, but we were pleasantly surprised. The décor was adorable, the staff was friendly and helpful, and we even met some fun ladies while we were there. My daughter is already excited for whatever theme they do next!
