The décor and overall aesthetic are lovely, but the food and service didn't come close to matching the first time. The biggest issue was temperature. Majority of food on the plate was not hot and not warm -- not the chicken, not the rice, not the beans. At the previous location, you could see the chickens roasting on the spit, and the food arrived hot and fresh. Here, I'm not sure what's happening behind the scenes, but the food temps indicate it had all been sitting. The only item that was freshly prepared were the plantains. I didn't bring it up to the server because she was checked out the entire time, and honestly, I can't expect her to remedy the kitchen if she can't bring waters. Why is the kitchen sending out food that clearly isn't hot? Is it being held in a steamer? If so the temps are not being checked and that becomes a food safety issue beyond quality‑control issues. Service itself also missed the mark. The pretty glasses are small -- though pretty-- and I had to flag the server down for refills. Same with the sauces that are supposed to come with the meal; they only arrived after I asked. To be clear it was 1:00 on a Monday and there was one other table in the place at arrival, and one table after our arrival. I had been planning another visit to introduce a different friend, but after this experience, I don't think I'll be returning. Perfectly cooked chicken over cilantro rice with a bunch of yummy stuff in it! There were two different sauces on the table, I don't even know what they were, but I used both on my rice (even though it didn't need any help) and they were delicious. If I had a complaint, I wish there was an option (charge me $2 extra?) to have the chicken taken off the bone... probably one of my least favorite things to do but I feel I'm in the minority. And, I guess it's been a while since I came to a Chick-fil-A because I forgot how many different sauces they have. The young lady asked what sauces I'd like with my meal, and I naively responded that I would like one of each. Well, without hesitation, she did in fact give me one of each of the sauces they have, all eleven! On a side note, this is one of the things I like about Chick-fil-A over McDonald's. Chick-fil-A (or at least this location) does not charge you for sauces, and I find that most McDonald's locations nowadays charge you for any sauces beyond some ridiculously low number. My entire meal was fresh and delicious. My chicken deluxe sandwich was picture-worthy, and the chicken inside it was cooked perfectly. The fries were cooked perfectly as well so that they were golden brown and lightly crunchy on the outside. I also enjoyed eating my meal while having the dine-in experience, which is rare for me at a fast-food restaurant. Additionally, dining inside was a nice escape from the summer heat, and a better option than eating in the confined space of my car. While inside, I was also pleased to see several Chick-fil-A employees cleaning the dining area so that new customers could enjoy a clean environment as well. They were hardworking, and doing a great job of keeping the dining area clean. Overall, I could not have imagined a better experience while having my lunch here. This Chick-fil-A earned a well-deserved 5-star rating from me.
