With favourite toy brands like Ben 10, Transformers, Star Wars, Hot Wheels and computer games, it is perfect little treasure for all to devour. I adore Lego characters and they have a good collection here, that would make great fillers for gift bags, Christmas stockings or to add to your current Lego collection. Popular for its birthday parties, they also buy and trade toys. Add this to your 'Kids Must Visit' list.

So many tin toys line the walls as do Star Wars Lego sets, Hot Wheels, Pokemon and more. There's a fair majority of toys for sale which are collectors items, not meant to be played with and they're not cheap either. And Lego is never cheap no matter what set it is or where it's being sold and so hard to resist buying when the little one is tugging at the sleeve or having a tantrum in desperation as they just gotta have it. I remember buying a Star Wars Storm Trooper from a toy shop just like this one in Melbourne many years ago. It was packed in its original box and then in another box but it didn't stay that way for long. I was looking for a Storm Trooper about a foot high and found it and the whole idea was to get one and give it to my child as a gift to play with and enjoy, not as an investment sitting on the shelf gathering dust...what's the fun in that. Anyway, each to their own but Galaxy Toys is the best in town.

Carrying the finest and high quality children's and baby's clothing, furniture, toys and gifts, this is a perfect place to start if you're thinking of giving your child a personalised themed bedroom. A room mirroring his personality and identity. If budget permits, you'll have plenty of deco theme options to choose from, to pair to your child's bedroom. From wall stickers which allows creativity and wallplay, my favourite picks would have to be the racing car tracks, princess and the adorable chalkboard which promises hours of fun for the kids. I went hunting for bean bags and came across some pretty ones. Unfortunately they had the name 'couture' on it and came with a price tag of $99. As gorgeous as it was, I doubt I'll be spending that much on a mere bean bag. Expect to pay a bit more here as you are paying for good quality products. Not your average 'Made in China' store, Kidzone appeals to all. My all time favourite would have to be Djeco, a French educational brand. Djeco carries beautiful range of stickers, magnetic puzzles, collages and more..they are a favourite amongst my kids and absolutely affordable. Kidzone truly meets the needs of children and covers playtime, educational, fashion, bedding, personalised products and party essentials.

There is plenty options for every decorating concept you can imagine and they cater for everything - furniture, decor, wall decals, unique clothes and quality toys. I picked up a quality raw single bed with a bookcase head for a little under $250. A lick of paint and it looked great! If you're less price conscious, they have beautiful white two-pac beds. It is a large space that is packed to the brim, so if you're looking for something specific, it's worth asking for help.

It's one of my regular toy store when I shop for birthdays, Christmas or the occasional treats I throw in for my kids, when they excel in their school work. The staff are absolutely friendly and seems to know their products very well. They get bonus points from me for carrying international brands from UK, US and Europe. Fans of Melissa & Doug and Djeco products would love it here, I know I do. They have nine stores across Adelaide, check their website for location details.

I hated them with a passion, they were always lame and lacked in imagination and fun. Well, it looks like educational toys have come a long way since then. There's some genuinely cool stuff in here. The big kid in me could have spent a good hour or two looking at all the cool stuff, but I was being rushed by my better half, so I grabbed the coolest thing I could find in my price range and bought it for my nephew, who's not even one year old yet. This shop is really good if you've got young children and you're trying to find good and at the same time, educational (the two seem to rarely coincide in the way that the makers intend - the important ingredient will always be the child's imagination and they way they use what you've bought them), then this shop is great. The staff are really helpful and lovely. I'll be back again for sure.
