Great meat market with a super diverse selection of meats and preps. The wagyu ribeye steaks were fantastic cuts with large cap meat portions. They were tender and some of the best tasting grassfed steaks we've made. We also brought home some of their house andouille sausage which turned out an excellent gumbo. Meaty, bold, and spicy. I will definitely be back to try more of the unique sausages. Everything from elk and venison to buffalo and gator. All of the meat was vacuum packed and looked great. The care and thoughtfulness they put into all of their products is evident. read more

Lawson's Meat Market - Wagyu Ribeye Steaks (out of the packaging and salted) - Meat Shops Near Me - Spring, Texas

I special ordered a prime rib for the holidays. It was a beautiful piece of meat. Well cut and it cooked up beautifully.

Thought it was a decent place. Found out they are terrible at follow up customer service. I will never return, but probably they won't notice. read more

I've been getting steaks and sausage here for years. They have great quality meats but Tasso is what keeps me coming back. It's a salted meat (born in Louisiana) that can be thinly cut for a tasty compliment to sharp cheese and crackers or cooked with green beans for added spice. The family that owns the shop treats you with Southern Hospitality. read more

When Hubbel & Hudson in The Woodlands closed down their market, I was so bummed. I also needed an alternative place to buy quality meat. Lawson's is that place. I'm a basic beef girl, but Lawson's has everything. More than the meat is the service. Everyone is friendly there and knowledgeable. Talk to them; let them know what you're looking for. For example, I asked for Beef Chuck for a stew. The young man (the son?) suggested English stew meat. I wish I had asked for an explanation, but I decided to just go for it. BTW: It was a $1 a pound cheaper than the other options. It was prepackaged, vacuum-sealed. My grandfather used to be a butcher. I know a good-lookin' hunk o' beef when I see one. Put this 2.5 pounder in the slow cooker just now. It looks beautiful. I'm making stroganoff. I'll try to remember to update this review with the results. My husband made a stew with their beef chuck and the family loved it. He said it was far superior to supermarket meat. Lawson's also offers a service where you can get a variety package of meats and they give it to you freezer ready. Talk to them for more details. They have a great selection of smoker wood. And bacon. And sausage. Next trip I'm trying the jalapeño bacon. Yeah, baby! If you're a deer hunter, they offer to handle that for you. (I don't hunt; I prefer to pretend that all meat is born in aseptic packages.) Check Lawson's out. Family-owned, friendly, knowledgable, with nearly everything any meat-loving human could want. read more

Lawson's Meat Market - Beef Stroganoff made with Lawson's English chuck beef roast. Tender, flavorful. - Meat Shops Near Me - Spring, Texas

I went in with a recipe, not knowing exactly what I was doing. I started to buy a cut of meat that was not appropriate for my recipe and extremely expensive. The owner recognized this and steered me to a cheaper and more appropriate cut. I 100% appreciate this and came on to recognize this shop and owner as someone who is just doing good business. And he was right - my soup came out incredible! read more

First time there abs got the jalapeno and cheese deer sausage! Amazing I cannot wait to go back and try more Bryan was great!! read more

Lawson's Meat Market - sausages wrapped in plastic - Meat Shops Near Me - Spring, Texas

I purchased a 10lb prime rib with bone in roast. 4 bones. OMG the smell when I opened it yesterday. We spent 200.00. I'm truly disappointed . Funny the beautiful pictures on Yelp I did not see when in butcher shop it was dirty and meat brown in cases. They retrieved mine a cooler and we picked it up about 5:00 pm. My brunch today will be not be with this. HEB here I come. My loved ones are too important to serve spoiled meat, more importantly the butcher KNEW IT WAS SPOILED!!! HOWS THAT FOR YOU. Lawson's Meat Market - I purchased this prime brisket from here. It was a very good cut of meat. - Meat Shops Near Me - Spring, Texas

So this is the second time I've used Lawson's. The first time was several years ago and, like this time, the service was outstanding, the people were friendly, and they delivered exactly what I asked for on time. Now it may not be my place to comment on other Yelp feedback, but this is a butcher shop. Custom slaughtering and processing. That is what they do. Associated with that you're going to have animals, smells, and employees doing their job. In alignment with the title, a butcher slaughter's and processes meat for human consumption. I don't mind animal rights activists having their opinion or even expressing it. I fully support them in doing so. But I just have to ask, what did they expect of a slaughterhouse? I find Lawson's to be a reputable business that performs a task that is above my skill-set. I appreciate the job they do and I give them the my highest rating. read more

We drove 15 minutes to come here based on yelp reviews. Right when we walked in we felt disgusted, this place looks extremely dirty we walked right out and decide to go somewhere else. I would definitely not trust the meat here read more

Customer service is great. Love the people that work here. They have everything here. Will be back soon.

I love this meat market! Great value for your money. Great customer service! Try the jalapeno deer sausage!

These guys are first class. They didn't have what I wanted in the shelves but he made it right there on the spot. A whole pork loin stuffed. Seasoned it and netted on order. And then vacuumed it to seal in the seasoning for tomorrow. I've been here a few times and they always deliver what I need on the fly. Family. A dying breed butcher. Come get it while it lasts. read more

They are always late to open. Sometimes hours. Their meat sucks. Brown steaks, not red or pink. Ground meat taste awful even with a ton of taco seasoning. Costco much better and cheaper. Place stinks and the guy at counter looks like a thug read more

Amazing quality and service, walked out with 5 filets, 4 large t-bones (~1.5 lbs EACH), 2 lbs of handburger, jalapeno cheese sausage and alligator sausage, all for $144.47 Owner greeted us and walked us through our order, giving us the occasional discount and free item, and it was probably the most pleasant experience I've had to date at a store. read more

Highly recommended. The jalapeño cheese sausage is amazing. One of the only places around that I can find the Dino beef ribs. Great quality and service. read more

Look folks, if you're looking for quality meat, poultry or sausage...don't go to your local grocery store. Go to Lawsons! Their meat, poultry & sausage is top rate and I recommend them 100%. If you get their steaks (& cook em right) they will melt in your mouth! I've never purchased any thing that I"ve been dis-satisfied with! try them out...talk to Brian, he's a good ol' Canjun! You'll love it ... I guarantee! Chuck read more

We are ecstatic that we discovered Lawsons. This is an authentic neighborhood meat market. Great selection of all natural meats and types of cuts, no steroids, antibiotics or hormones . Brian the butcher is awesome. He recommended some spicy stuffed pork loins because we said we love spicy seasonings. We got both boudin sausage and crawfish sausage stuffed. Amazing! They come bacon wrapped and cooked up perfect. Brian also has various sausages he makes from scratch. All meat with no fillers or MSG. The jalapeño cheddar ones are incredible. We got beef, gator, and crawfish. All are just delicious. Highly recommend. If you yearn for the old neighborhood meat market with fair priced quality meats, this is the place. read more

Great meat Market! We like to support local businesses and this one is a good one to support. The people are so nice. We've always had great cuts of meat from brisket to sausage, to steaks. The sausage is actually made in house and is delicious. read more

Good quality stuff the couple of times I've been. My only complaint is that I always feel like I'm getting the used car salesman trick when I go in there. There is one guy in there that ALWAYS tries to upsale me on products when I go in there knowing exactly what I want and then make you feel bad when you don't buy it. I would like to go back but so hopefully the "one guy" isn't working. Cater to your customer Lawson's and stop being so pushy. read more

Very friendly family. Cares about their customers. Willing to deal and go above and beyond. The Bacon wrapped stuffed chicken and pork are the best. Need tri-tip for picanha or Kobe or Waygu... they got you covered. Next up Waygu brisket. read more

This Meat Market is great, they cut, deboned, tied back and shrink wrapped the BEST prime rib I have ever put my teeth too. You want the best meats go here and support your local places. The staff knows their stuff. Thanks Lawson's 7 happy guests for dinner. Worth every penny. read more

Famyly owned and operated. The BEST place in The Woodland to buy a REAL meat. It is tastes different!!! I grew up outside the US and I berely can eat meat from HEB, Kroger etc. It seems like they get meat from farmers who feed animals just right. Chicken tastes and smells just like my grandmas chicken! No stinky yellow fat and strange smell when you boil it. It better then Meat from habble and hudson, but cheaper. Also they sell woods. They closed on Monday as far as I know. Bottom line: great place with humble interior and best real meat in town. Highly reccomend. read more

Wonderful, family-run market. I think there are three generations working there, and they really know their stuff. Friendly and helpful. Best local source I've found for natural meats. I've purchased ribs, chickens, sausage and the best brisket I've been able to find anywhere, and I've been very pleased with all of it. read more

My husband and I have been going here since 2002 when we moved to Africa. Since you can't buy meat there we brought our own and they would hard freeze it for us and even open on a Monday for us to pick it up b/c the plane left on a Tuesday very early in the morning. They go above and beyond in customer service and you can't beat their meat quality. I LOVE their jalapeño sausage but even for a New Orleans girl it was too spicy so they make me a special batch. When we moved back we lived in Houston for a year then were transferred to Corpus we drove from Corpus to Spring to get our "FIX" from Lawson's. Thank goodness we are now close enough down 1960 although with traffic it feels like we still live in Corpus...Thanks Lawson's for being AWESOME read more

This is by far the best place ive been to in a longtime, the people who are there are very sweet and always willing to make a deal specially if you ask for brian, the meat is absolutely delicious way better than any super chain store, specially the kobe,i will definitely go again without a doubt read more

It's the day before Christmas and I'm searching for a spiral ham to glaze, so I came to Lawson's to check out their selection. Let me just say that their product lived up their name, because the ham was a huge hit! Now, I will give some credit to the coke-a-cola and peach whiskey glaze, but the quality of the ham was great. The staff is super friendly as well. Ask for Brian and he'll take care of you. read more

I have been coming here for about 6 years and everything has always been delicious. The jalapeño & cheese sausage, pork chops, ribeye, brontosaurus ribs, Kobe and prime brisket are consistently a notch above the rest. This is a family business with Bryan and his parents providing A+ customer service. If you live in Spring, The Woodlands or Conroe this should be your meat market ! read more

After reading the reviews we thought what a great place this would be. We called and asked for 3 whole chickens, deboned. The guy on the phone laughed and said he didn't have time for that.
