Some places are great one day and you come back and they let you down. That has never been my experience at El Diferente. They are always on point. HIGHLY Recommend!

This is everything my taco-loving heart desires. I've been coming to El Diferente for years, and I'm never disappointed! It's a tiny little place inside of an old shopping center on Sawdust. I mean it's REALLY easy to miss, if you're not looking for it. The interior of the shop is a simple little restaurant... store... I don't really know what to call it. It has lots of little snacks and Mexican goods, pan, etc. for purchase. But the REAL good part is their small kitchen where they cook SOME FRESH food. Like wow. It's delicious. Imagine all those delicious tortas, tacos, tamales.... mmm they've got it all. It's hot, fresh and TRUE Mexican food. Like the hole-in-the-wall authenticity we all wish we could eat everyday. Like straight up going to your abuela's house for some barbacoa kind of good. There's no set "menu." You pretty much just go in and order something you like. They have different meats, tortillas, etc. It really just depends on what they have made that day when you go in. They also have some fresh agua frescas and other to go drinks (Jarritos, Mexican Cola, etc). They don't speak good English, so get yo Spanglish on and order a taco!
