Everyone is very friendly. Full Pallet = $100. 1/2 Pallet = $60. This price beats the bundles I've been getting from the grocery stores. I purchased a full pallet (loaded quickly on my truck) & I ended up sharing much of it with friends. The oak wood burned nicely -VERY HOT & LONG! If I were picky, I'd have 2 gripes: * Firewood is ~19" long (My wood burning stove is 18" inside -so I had to cut some or insert diagonally -not ideal). * Their office is open for firewood pickup only M-F until 04:00pm & they tell me that they no longer deliver. But I was able to sneak away from work to pickup & the wood is great! (My friends think so too!)

Second quote was a professional company that markets either by the Val-park or monthly coupon magazine (can't remember which) and their guy said the tree was just too big and needed to come down. They offered a price for trimming and haul away, but it was $1000 more than woodland. The comparably higher price and convincing story about cutting the tree down caused me to pause and have a follow up call with JD. He was pretty patient walking through his logic which started with, "it's a healthy tree with zero evidence of infestation of rot". He then explained how there was a need for a lot of 'cleaning out' of the canopy where main branches grew secondary limbs that had more growth and then dozens of smaller branches. "Air can't flow through, and that's what we'll do". The quote was well done, they arrived on time when promised, and cleaned up very well.

I called Green Grounds, LLC and another company to get estimates for several landscaping projects…read morethat needed to be done in both my front and back yards. Green Grounds was reasonably priced and able to get us on their schedule (pending weather restrictions) within a very suitable period of time. In our backyard, we needed what I would consider significant removal of overgrown ground vegetation, leaves, shrubbery, and fallen twigs and limbs before the basic trimming, weeding, and cutting could be done. We also needed weed stopper fabric and mulch added to several areas (which I would consider a decent size). The Green Grounds crew had to remove a good deal of brick in those places from the previous homeowner creating beds that had overgrown. Green Grounds also planted some things that I had purchased in some of those areas. In addition, they did significant repair to a wood retaining wall for us. In the front, they removed dead shrubs and trimmed others as well as refreshed three flower beds with weed stopper fabric and new mulch. In addition, they prepped the entire yard (including an area that had recently had a tree removed) for new sod and laid it down. There were anywhere from three to nine crew members at our home each time that Green Grounds was here. They were professional at all times. They had to work around the rainy weather, but were here when they said they would be around the weather changes. They worked as quietly as possible and cleaned up after themselves, going as far as to put down extra sod where there was a tire mark left in the back yard. Everything looks incredible. We are very pleased. As you can see from my detailed post, this is evidence that Green Grounds, LLC can do it all! I highly recommend their services. We will be using them to do our yard upkeep from now on!

I found Lopez landscaping on Yelp and gave them a call. They came out and gave me an estimate that was comparable to another estimate I had done a few days earlier. Based on the pictures I saw on Yelp of their work and the conversations we had about what I wanted done, I decided to go with them. I could not be happier with the job they did. Jose and his team dug up and removed all of the dead and damaged shrubs and bushes and then cleaned the flower beds and planted new azaleas, hostas, pencil shrubs and other plants. They then mulched all of the beds and cleaned the area. They went above and beyond to make sure I was satisfied with the results.
