So thankful for Jarod and his team. Highly recommend!

For years I was with Dreamscape and was happy with the service. Then this past year without notice…read moremy account was given to Brecht Landscaping. I trusted Dreamscape to make sure that my lawn was in good hands. The owner knew that I was working hard to keep the lawn up to HOA standards. The price remained the same and I was assured the service would too. It didn't. First issue, cutting the lawn below two inches. I expressed my concern through email and was told it was the length I asked for. It wasn't. We measured. Where he mowed was two inches or shorter and where he trimmed was an inch. I asked him to begin skipping weeks and cutting higher to bring back my lawn, which he did but cut it even shorter when he did mow, making skipping pointless. That was followed by neglecting to trim the trees which was part of my service, once a year. I asked for the service to be done and was quoted over two hundred and fifty dollars to trim two palm trees and two small branches touching the house, less than 1/2 inch in diameter. I told him that was too much and explained again what I needed. He quoted me $220. I bought a branch trimmer from Amazon for $90 and had the entire job done in less than 30 minutes. After this, I started taking a good look at the property. My children aren't little anymore so they don't play in the backyard so we are not outside a lot. We also started avoiding the yard after we found a coral snake in the yard earlier this year. We went outside and I was shocked to see all the damage, the bald spots, destroyed grass in uniformed lines and immediately knew that he'd laid down poison. The amount of damage was insane. Some places was only a few inches while others were several feet of destroyed grass. Prior to this I had the grass growing well all the way to the fences and to the house. I decided the best course of action was to fire him and stop the damage before it got worse. I sent an email. He responded several days later acknowledging that he was no longer working on my property. I let it go, moved on happy that it was done and focused on the job ahead. The first goal was to bring the grass back to the height it needed to be. Wednesday morning I woke up to find him back on my property cutting my lawn haphazardly. I went outside and the first thing out of his mouth was that he knew that he wasn't supposed to be doing it. That was followed by telling me that he figured he'd finish out the month after acknowledging that he had been asked not to continue. He chopped my grass back to 2 inches and below. I asked him what he sprayed to kill the grass at which point he told me that he did not spray anything. I showed him the damage, he acted confused and said that he did not know how that happened. I told him it has clear spray lines and I know he killed the grass. He again denied it. I then mentioned destruction of property and he suddenly remembered that he sprayed roundup to make it easier to do the lawn. That was followed by telling me that I should have known that he was going to do it and that I should have told him not to do it if I didn't want it done. He altered between telling me that this was how landscaping should be done, how he did it for all of his customers, and that it was my fault for not telling him when he started not to do it. He damaged my neighbors yard as well but nothing to the extent of my damage. She was happy to accept soil put down in an attempt to fix the damage. After the seeing the extent of the damage and hearing his bizarre excuses, I refuse to let him on my property again. I received an email from him once again blaming me and telling me that I told him what a wonderful job he did and offered to put down seed. It was delusional. I replied telling him that I was debating my options. I settled for a return of my money for the extra month I'd paid. He promised that he would send the money. Never happened. My lawn is completely destroyed, soil needs to be tested to see the extent of chemical damage. I've lost top soil and now have trenches. I did not hire him to prepare my yard for mulch, stone or any type of landscaping. His only job was to mow or trim. He took it upon himself to kill my lawn to cut down on time spent mowing my yard. If you use this company, please go outside and check your lawn near trees, fences, and your home.
