Our daughter got married in Chicago and we live in Florida so it was very complicated to find somebody that we would like. We couldn't really rely on recommendations because we didn't know anybody there. Also to be perfectly honest we didn't want to spend more than $3000 on the photography. Being that the wedding was in downtown Chicago, everybody that I talk to before finding Robert was very stuck up and very very pricey. When I looked at Roberts work on his website I was absolutely amazed by the pictures that he would take. They were not traditional wedding pictures where you have everybody just lined up, they were pictures of the moments, pictures of the things that were actually happening. Just by looking at those pictures you could imagine what was going on at those weddings. His photographs tell a story and capture the most natural shots possible. For us, this was very important. Robert was very courteous and was able to cover the day without being obtrusive while at the same time being in the right place at the right time. We had many compliments about him from our guests. When I was hiring Robert I wanted to hire two photographers for my daughter's wedding every single moment would be captured. He tried to assured me that I would not need two photographers because of the size of her wedding. We had 80 people. I was still skeptical but he did say that he would have his assistant with him so I decide to go I and just hire him. Well, he was right! He was able to cover everything! Bride's preparations, groom's preparation, me being stressed out :), maid of honor helping, bride drinking a glass of champagne.... Everything that you want to remember from your wedding. All the candid shots, people dancing, drinking, eating... Everything! Most importantly my daughter is little shy and does not like taking pictures, so the way that Robert did this was just amazing. She felt so comfortable with him that I now am such a happy mom looking at her beautiful pictures. Thank you Robert for making my daughter's day so special.

I particularly enjoyed that he showed me photos as he was shooting to get my feedback on what I liked and what I would change and he would give me feedback to attain that result and adjust the way he was shooting accordingly. He provided excellent feedback about how to pose and how to adjust my clothing and hair. Overall the photos were amazing and he made a productive photo shoot a really fun experience. She made the family and bridal party genuinely smile and/or laugh over and over again. My daughter, the bride, was so grateful that Tammy made five hours of posing so fun rather than stressful. Just about a week after the wedding, Tammy posted over a 100 beautiful photos for us to view and download. It was great to have these professional photos so quickly to show to people. Then about six weeks later, we received over 1500 photos! The posed photos were all beautiful, including some that were very artsy and cool, and others that were cleverly whimsical. The photos from the ceremony and reception were amazing and totally captured the beauty, joy, and fun of the day. I love that the candid photos of the bride and groom show them laughing and loving every minute of their wedding day, the ceremony photos show the beauty of the event, and the reception photos feature all the guests have a great time! The only downside is that it is going to be very difficult to choose which photos to include in the album - there are just too many great ones! Although I am writing this review before we ordered our album, I've seen other albums that Tammy has created and they are creative and gorgeous. Bottom line -- I would hire Tammy again in a heartbeat. She is everything you want in a wedding photographer - personality, talent, and professionalism every step of the way.

A friend had a great time working with Tammy and her partner and their photos came out great. This couple, however, is BEYOND photogenic and I would have taken great shots of them with a disposable. I should have realized that when we originally hired Tammy. She was NOT CHEAP. We did hire her, thinking we knew what we'd get (and the whole mentality of "you get what you pay for"). She is incredibly nice, optimistic and out right excited for the couples she shoots. We did an engagement shoot with her and after 40 minutes of "that's GREAT" and "these are INCREDIBLE photos" we were really happy......then we saw the photos. Completely generic, cookie-cutter shots. The angles were not flattering and the lighting was off. I'm not an expert photographer so take the review as you will. There was WAY TOO MUCH posing. It felt unnatural but she kept encouraging us that they looked good so I didn't question much. Anyway, we expressed concern about the angles and we were willing to work with her since she seemed like she was willing to work with us. She instead decided she didn't want to work with us and offered to refund our deposit. Less than 2.5 months before the wedding and we were left with no photographer. We finally got our deposit back after many many attempts (I would drop the review another star or even negative stars for this whole ordeal but it is irrelevant to the actual photography). We did find A FANTASTIC photographer thanks to a coworkers recommendation at a third of Tammy's cost and the photos came out MUCH BETTER. So I guess her backing out was a blessing in disguise.

More importantly to share the experience with you should you be looking for a photographer. I met Daniel at a family wedding. There, he was professional and I took notice to his patience, professionalism and attention to detail. So of course I reached out and booked him. I needed to update photos of my kids in the home as well as get their headshots done for their composite cards. First off he is very responsive and I think it's very important that you have good communication. It tells you a lot about their character and dedication to take the time to work with you. We had to reschedule our original appointment due to one of my kids coming down with hives and that wasn't an issue with him at all, in fact he was able to get us in the following week. When we arrived to our appointment he was ready to go, he had even brought a clothing rack knowing we had a few outfit changes. He made suggestions to what backgrounds clothing details we should get the kids shot in. Now having two kids (ages 4 and 7) take pictures is a workout alone and it takes patience and creativity. I can't even begin to tell you how amazing our experience went. My daughter froze up, began to cry and refused to shoot. She shut the whole thing down and there was nothing I can do to get her to stop crying. Daniel went along and focused on my son wasting no time and she took notice to how much fun they were having. We tried one more time with her and played a little "magic". In the back of my mind I for sure thought she was done after her meltdown. Daniel went with it and pretended if I sprinkled a little magic dust on him that he couldn't see her and ONLY if he took a picture she would appear. It worked like a charm! He went with this the whole shoot. He had her going from tears to cheeky smiles! Now I've had plenty of experiences with other photographers that have said, " come back another time" and just not willing to make the extra effort. Daniel did his job, he didn't rush us and made this experience so much fun for the kids. We just had the photo session done last week, since then he has sent me sneak peaks of the images within a few days pointing out his favorites as he has been going through and editing over 300 pictures he took! Yes, 300!! I know this review is lengthy, but the bottom line is he doesn't just hold a camera and say smile, he really has magic he brings to the table to deliver results and meet your expectations.
