We worked with Laurie for years on listing our property for rent, then for sale. She was a lifesaver and made the process as easy as possible. read more

Laurie Woolner was a heaven sent for us. We were selling my late sister's Spanish house. Laure was passionate about Spanish houses. Seh walked us through the renovation process making sure we maintain the Spanish features of the house. She was knowledgable and reassuring. She made sure we did what was needed. Laurie did her magic, the house sold 6.25% over asking. read more

We worked with Laurie on listing our house for rent. She exceeded all expectations. We worked together on getting the home ready, photography (she covered those costs herself), and general presentation. We ended up with 4 offers and got a deal above asking in less than a week post listing. read more

If you're looking for a REAL real estate agent look no further!! Laurie is the real deal! We dealt with other agents before her and her attention to detail, our needs and our family made all the difference! She was responsive, reliable and gave us up to date information that kept us in the loop! Thanks Laurie!! read more

Laurie is a nightmare agent. You always hear you should watch out for agents who are manipulative, well, Laurie is definitely one of them! She overly pushy, rude and downright disrespectful. She lies about features about the house, I.e. fireplaces working, and will cheat you into buying the house. I'm shocked by any of these positive reviews. Avoid avoid avoid and if you do love the house, just know that she's lying about any back up offers or anything. Perhaps she should change her slogan to "I'm an ass and have Napoleon complex". Thank you Laurie for ruining peoples lives. read more

I am the seller referred to in the review below... The entire review is BS. The buyer was completely unprofessional as he on multiple occasions came to my door and also called my cell phone several times. He was attempting to circumvent the agents brokering the deal. His agent had trouble keeping her client behaving professionally and moving forward with the deal. Laurie is a 10-star agent with a big heart made of gold and without Laurie this deal would never closed. Do yourself a big favor and stay as far away from Laurie Woolner as possible. My wife and I had the unfortunate experience of dealing with Laurie when she represented the seller, and it was a disaster from day one. She's unprofessional, rude, deceitful, and I have absolutely no idea how she still holds a real estate license. She constantly threatened to end our deal, never responded to our questions in a timely manner, and even had the audacity to yell at us during the final walkthrough. I have never come across a worse human being in my life, and given all of the 1-star reviews here, it seems I'm not the only one. read more

Although we have not yet used as a real estate agent, Ms. Woolner has provided an exceptional primer on local real estate during a few open home visits. She has also created a systematic, successful neighborhood yard sale event with dozens of homes for several years in Mar Vista and Venice. Bottomline: Ms.Woolner exudes professional expertise and real estate knowledge. read more

Laurie is a total badass! Always willing to not only go the extra mile but do what is RIGHT for her clients, even if it means it's not right for her. I would never work with anyone else. read more

Laurie knocked on my door in 2012, and when I indicated now was not a good time to sell my home, she proceeded to lecture me on my lack of knowledge and the market opportunity to sell at a profit (I bought in 2004). Don't take advice from people who have a biased interest. Laurie might tell a "mighty" good story, but a fiduciary she is not, and I would never have her represent my home. read more

Laurie Rocks! Laurie has now completed two different transactions with us, exceeding our expectations. The first was June, 2022. We purchased a home East of Lincoln in 2021, and we needed a larger home. Home prices had started to soften, so our timing and hiring the right agent were essential. Without interviewing other agents, we hired Laurie, Tiny But Mighty, because she is the true neighborhood specialist. Within three days, Laurie generated two offers without going to market. The home sold for $575,000 over what we paid for the home 14 months ago. Laurie is a true pro, and when it comes to real estate, no one works harder or smarter. We would not hesitate to hire or recommend Laurie to anyone with real estate needs. read more

With her signs in my neighborhood, it was a good reminder to leave feedback on the two awful interactions I've had with her. First was as a buyer who was touring one of her homes. My older mother was FaceTiming me as I was out of town and the entire time, this agent was dismissive toward her. The last of the conversation ended with this agent stating "tell your son that if that is his budget, this isn't the right neighborhood." Wrong, we bought a house shortly thereafter that was new construction, in the same neighborhood, and larger. What she meant to say was that her over priced house was not the right one. The second interaction was as she was putting her signs up for her neighborhood yard sale. I watched her as she yelled and berated her employee for not putting them up at the exact angle she wanted. We are talking screaming and embarrassing her employee in the middle of a residential street. I should have posted this long ago, but fortunately her signs in the neighborhood reminded me. Laurie Woolner -Tiny But Mighty - Real Estate Agents Near Me - Los Angeles, California

We needed a realtor who knew the Venice area to help us sell a house that was built in 1957 and never updated other than a roof about 15 years ago. Laurie was the perfect realtor that lives only 2 blocks away and really knows the area. She guided us on how best to list the property, but suggested a listing price I originally thought was too high. But "Tiny But Mighty" knows the territory. Laurie was spot on the listing price! One week later, we had 4 offers, one at full asking price. Getting a good offer is great but completing the sale process over 90 days can be challenging. Laurie got us across the finish line with a completed sale with no surprises or headaches during the sale process. Could not be happier we selected Laurie Woolner as our realtor, a real professional. read more

Laurie was a wonderful agent. As a first time buyer, she really took the time to explain the whole process to me and make sure that all issues that came up during the process were addressed. As a huge bonus, she went above and beyond what I would ever expect from an agent and she connected me with a wonderful mortgage lender and contractor. For these reasons and many more, I would highly recommend! read more

Laurie was a fantastic help when purchasing my first home. She brought me a ton of good options and worked with me through every step of the closing process. This was especially helpful as it was my first home buying process and I was unfamiliar with a lot of steps. Happy to have her in my court! Laurie knows the Venice market like the back of her hand and provided thoughtful insight as we were weighing the pros and cons of each potential house. We ended up finding the perfect fit. She has even been a big help post-close putting me in contact with some great vendors on a few different home improvement jobs. I would highly recommend Laurie to anyone looking for a great house in a westside market. Thanks Laurie! read more

She is solution oriented when challenges arise. Laurie is also a pillar of her community by giving back and organizing events that bring her community together. read more

Laurie Woolner, Tiny But Mighty, exemplifies professionalism, unrivaled work ethic, and sheer business ability. She deserves much of the credit for the transaction's success. We moved to Palm Springs, gave Laurie the keys to our house, and allowed Laurie and her team to prepare the home for the market. We took Laurie's advice and painted, staged, and did minor landscaping. Laurie oversaw all the work as if it were her own home, and it came out beautifully! . The first weekend we had multiple offers, and the house sold for $256,000 over the list price. Thank you, Tiny But Mighty! read more

Laurie is extremely professional, hardworking, and is a true advocate for you. These are all important factors in a listing agent for your home. She always had our best interest at heart, and put in all the hours required to sell our home how we wanted it to be sold. Laurie had a great crew to work with. We are so grateful to have found her! read more

We rely on Laurie Woolner, who has been our realtor on the West side, buying, selling and renting our properties for over ten years. During that time we have also searched for many properties and walked through many homes together. We recently purchased a second loft in the Marina where Laurie was with us during every step of the process. The negotiations were tough and there were obstacles to achieving our purchase price. Laurie supported our bid with market data comps and, together with her years of experience, was able to get us the price we wanted to pay. She was diligent and communicative throughout the process even after the close. We like that she is a local realtor who knows this market and can give me the honest answers when asked the tough questions. Buying a home in todays market has become highly competitive and Laurie has come through for us in every way. We trust her professionalism and honesty when it comes to buying and selling on the West side. read more

I cannot recommend Laurie enough. She is knowledgeable, responsive, and always on top of it. She made the entire experience smooth and not stressful - you can't ask for more out of an agent. We interviewed 6 brokers in preparation for selling our home in Venice, and Laurie immediately stood out from the rest in terms of her understanding of the regional market and how people buy and sell homes nowadays. So, we decided to hire Laurie, which was the best decision possible.  Tiny But Mighty had our home in escrow in 3 days and it sold for 155k over the ist price.  Way to go Laurie! read more

Another great event! Thank you Laurie for making this happen. We had a great yard sale thanks to you.

Wishing negative stars were an option. My 78 year-old mother agreed to use Laurie to sell her house. Laurie represented the buyer, too, and when COVID-19 hit, the buyer decided not to close escrow. Laurie told my mother that due to COVID, she had to sign some new documents, which would have required her to return the "non-refundable" deposit. Luckily, I intervened before my mother was snookered. When I told Laurie we wanted a new agent, she said "fine," but then refused to let my mother out of the contract. Luckily, the broker released my mother from the contract -- and my mother was able to keep the deposit to which she was legally entitled. But that was only because I insisted she NOT follow Laurie's advice. Laurie told me and my mother that if my mother didn't return the deposit, she'd be sued and it would take ages to resolve the matter and re-sell the house. Of course none of that came to pass because my mother had the law on her side. Working with Laurie was a nightmare for both me and my mother. I could go on and on, but I think you get the gist. read more

Laurie gave 120% to every part of the listing/marketing/sale process. And before the house was even officially on the MLS or we'd had a single open house, we had an offer for significantly more than we'd expected to list the house for. Laurie really knows the market, but what really sets her apart is her tenacity and her commitment to her clients. She really and truly cares! read more

She seems to have a great work ethic as evidenced by the fact that she herself walks around distributing flyers. I have asked her multiple times by email to stop leafletting our house and the one time I reminded her in person her response to me was a ticked off "This is my LIVELIHOOD. I can't be expected to remember EVERY house". I don't know, that kind of seems like your job. The latest giveaway is a notepad stuck in our gate. Normally a very eco person, I threw the pad away rather than be reminded of her every time I wanted to write something down. With every additional leaflet that comes by, I remember what she said to me and how she said it. It's amazing how much bad will can be generated just by not being a polite person. read more

Seller beware! Working with Laurie and her associate Kaela was the worst selling experience ever! I knew with in 10 days that I had made a huge mistake. Our personalities were not compatible. Every time I looked at my phone and saw her name come up it was stressful. This is not what you want from your real estate agent. She was demanding, rude, bossy, and downright argumentative with us. I told her this was not a good working relationship and she refused to let me out of my contract even though she swore up-and-down that I cancel my contract at any time! Keep in mind my home hadn't even been listed on the MLS there had not been one showing or open house at that point. Her and Kaela tried to convince us to sell at a low price point. We refused. Not once during the whole transaction that I ever feel they had our best interest at heart. They only were interested in selling the house so that they could get their commission. I finally had to refuse to have any more dealings with Laurie and work to Soli with Kaela. That was just as big a mistake and she Seem to be extremely inexperienced. Not exactly the kind of agent you want at seven-figure price points. There are several agents in Venice. Do yourself a favor do a lot of research and stay away from Woolner Group!!! read more

We worked with Laurie to buy our first house in Venice a few years ago and it was a VERY PAINFUL process. Her help and assistance essentially ended when we finally found a house we wanted to place a bid on. The contacts she claimed to have to help us with our bid never panned out. Instead of fighting for our interests with the sellers, she constantly fought us on all our concerns regarding issues with leaks and mold in the house - for which there were substantial. She was only interested in getting her commission as soon as possible. We ultimately had to take charge of all the inspections and escrow process. We also recently heard through the grapevine that Laurie had assumed that since we were first time home buyers, we wouldn't know any better and would blindly follow her own selfish agenda. I would never use her again, nor would I recommend her to anyone. read more

Laurie is truly one of the best real estate agents you could find anywhere, but especially in the Mar Vista/Venice/Santa Monica area. We sold our house and bought a new house with Laurie. She is the definition of full service - she literally becomes a welcome member of your family, helping out wherever help is needed. She arranged our pod, multiple stagers to come give us quotes, and when we threw her a curveball and wanted to stage ourselves, she even brought her own things over to help. She let us store things in her garage, and called a gardener to spruce up our landscaping and a handyman to touch up some things that needed fixing around the house. She is honest, hardworking and very diligent and thorough. She was an incredibly tough but fair negotiator, which is high praise coming from two people who do that for a living! We have used other real estate agents in the past that we have also liked, but when we went with Laurie, we never looked back- there is no one that could have helped us get our contingent offer on a new house accepted, given us so much help to list our existing house so quickly, and then get it into escrow after only 6 days during the slowest time of year. The way she gave us the royal treatment, we thought we were her only clients, only to find out later that she had multiple other active listings. You won't find another agent that can do what she does - she really is "tiny but mighty"! read more

Worst agent ever. Making everything more difficult for everyone. Claims to know so much although working in very chaotic ways. I really wonder how this lady gets listings. Toxic personality, negative thoughts and destructive actions, self centered. She claims a lot of things she ends up not knowing about, no respect for anyone she cannot use and she seems to only follow her own agenda. I would never use her again and regret I used her based on a suggestion of a contractor since I was from out of town and very busy to do my search. In NY she would be history in no time. Do not work with her: rude and ruthless WITHOUT the knowledge that one expects with such an attitude. read more

Laurie is the best realtor in Los Angeles. You will not find a better realtor anywhere else. She is the hardest worker I know. She helped me sell my home during a difficult time in my life. She is not one of those realtors who put a for sale sign and collects her commission. She helped find the construction crew to renovate my fixer upper and worked with a gardener to create a lush landscape. She also brought in her own furniture and accessories to stage my home for a showing. As a result, my home was sold in one week and over the asking price. Laurie is a hands-on person on all aspects of home sales. She is very detailed oriented and accessible. I could call, text, or email her and know that she will answer any questions or offer her expertise on whatever housing issues that I had, in a timely manner. Laurie also helped me find my current home. She was patient and made sure that I saw every property in my price range in my desired neighborhood. She also patiently explained the various types of home sales such as an auction, probate, HUDs, and foreclosures. She even went to an auction with me and did the paperwork so that I could place a bid. She was even more excited than me during the bidding process and even more disappointed when it became over my price range. Of course, I kept Laurie on when I started my new home purchase journey. Laurie was patient and supportive during the whole process. She did not rush me into making a decision, even though it took me more than a year and a half to find my current home, which was a short sale. I ended up buying a fixer upper for a great price. When the paperwork was signed and Laurie received her commission, she stayed on to help me fix it up to make it livable because she is a nice person. She helped me work with my contractor to make sure that I was getting the work done in an acceptable manner and at an acceptable timeline. She also recommended the hardware items, at a reasonable cost and where to find them, to personalize my new place. If you are selling a house or buying one, you will want a person like Laurie. I am very lucky to have found her and I'm grateful for everything she did to help me transition from one home to another during a stressful time in my life. read more

Laurie was a lifesaver! We finally found a home we wanted but didn't know what to do regarding the timing of how to sell our old homeand use the proceeds for the new place. We'd heard about Laurie and called her. She answered her phone, came right over and told us how she'd work out the two deals. She correctly estimated an attractive market price for our neighborhood, called in her repair guys to quickly get the house ready for showing, got terrific photos done, printed and distributed brochures and got us on MLS in 2 weeks. We had an offer at list price after the 1st open house and Laurie not only negotiated it up but she got the buyers to reduce their give backs by half! Laurie knows all the experts from mold, to exterminating, to fencing, to painting and everything else and she oversees every detail herself. She's a local and she's the real deal so don't hesitate if you're thinking of selling. Call her! read more

If there was a way to give zero or negative stars, I would. I wholeheartedly agree with the other review from May 2018. We purchased a home that she had listed and it was a tremendously PAINFUL experience. Luckily we had a highly experienced (40+ years) agent representing us for the purchase, or I think we would never have been unable to close escrow and would have lost our entire escrow earnest money deposit. She is minimally or completely uncommunicative to routine timeline questions, and when she did reply (almost ALWAYS later than contracted deadlines) her answers were typically rude non-answers, excuses of being "too busy", "computer broken" or were just plain not true. She even had the audacity to state that the builder of the home did not care about defects, which in California is not even legal. Our agent said that she is the most unprofessional agent she'd ever dealt with in her entire career. Do not walk but RUN far, far away. read more

My husband and I have worked with Laurie on the purchase of two properties - in Venice as well as Culver City. Both experiences were great and I would highly recommend her. Laurie works as hard as any realtor I've ever seen to stay ahead of the game, doing the legwork to find appropriate properties, offering excellent insights, and doing the follow up to make sure nothing has been missed. Its also a pleasure to work directly with her; not two or three other "associates" who need the backstory every time you see them. I look forward to working with Laurie in the future - she's a real gem! read more
