We were thinking of an October wedding, however the chapel was intricately decorated in white and beautiful lighting. The theme was Victorian and it was definitely well showcased in the chapel. The bridal suite felt warm and inviting so was the groom's chamber. Mary then showed us the outside which was equally as beautiful. The ceremony would take place overlooking the water. Where we stood, there was a beautiful flower arch with an array of florals , perfectly arranged for the ceremony. She explained the packages and the add-in options. The deposit was fair, and she had great payment options. We opted for the photography package. Mojo Photography was amazing, she photographed us well, all while keeping our family and the wedding party entertained. Fast forward to our Fall Wedding. As a bride of course I was worried about flower, colors, and the weather. We were graced with beautiful weather. The fall flowers were in bloom, and the wedding turned out perfect . The staff were excellent! They were patient with my family and our little flower girl. The team took note of our wedding songs and the sound system was clear and the volume was perfect! I don't want to leave out the minister. He was professional and he honored our "jumping the broom" ceremony. My husband and I were blown away with everything. This was our forever "special day", and we could not have picked a better venue. I'm definitely referring friends and family.

Several details that we had arranged ahead of time were missed, including one of our requested songs and a ver special wedding reading. One of the most disappointing was our processional song. This was not a last-minute request or something that was misunderstood. we discussed the song extensively with the venue both by phone and through text, including arrangements for how it would be played. It was the specific song I chose to walk down the aisle to, so having it missed was genuinely heartbreaking and especially disappointing on such an important day. More concerning, we learned afterward that several of our guests felt uncomfortable and unwelcome when attempting to use the restroom after the ceremony. They described the experience as hectic and disorganized, which was difficult for us to hear. We had fewer guests than the venue's stated capacity, so it is particularly concerning to imagine how much more difficult this could have been had our full guest list attended. My husband also personally overheard someone involved in our ceremony expressing frustration about continuing to do this work, which was extremely disappointing and uncomfortable to hear on our wedding day. After hearing about our guests' experiences afterward and reflecting on the details that were missed, we feel it is important to be honest about our overall experience with the venue. We expected the day to be handled with the same care and attention that we put into it, especially with the price point and unfortunately, that was not our experience. We understood that we were primarily paying for the venue and the ceremony, but given the cost, we expected a higher level of attention to detail, organization, and overall service.

It exceeded every expectation and with much help from the entire staff at the Meeting House my wedding was as cliche as it sounds. The best day of our lives! Awkward to eat. Tasted the best of the three though. The crabcakes were miniscule and mostly breading. My husband seemed unimpressed with the shrimp. The salads were simply dressed with no option but with what I guess could be called vinaigrette if I were being generous. The rolls were very grainy and not my thing. My salmon would have been terrific if it had been fresh. It was a huge portion but cold and the sauce had congealed. I liked the roasted potatoes and the veggies but again, cold. My husbands sliced steak concoction was at least warm and it was super tender. It was also well beyond a generous portion. He disliked the sauce though. The bar staff did well. We avoided the pitchers of flat beer and bad merlot, which helped. The mixed drinks were stellar. My Tito's and soda with a wee splash of cran and a lime were perfect. Not me (the groom), not my mother, not the bride, but her. She played the QB and handled everything. Guys, and girls, in a world where couples getting married are nickled and dimed for every little thing, this place is the opposite. Never once did Mary say something like "Sure, we can do that for an extra fee". Everything was "Oh sure, here's what I have, what do you think?"
