The house we bought went on the market and we got a showing within the hour. Addyson didn't hesitate to book us and got us in right away. We knew this is the one and Addyson started the paperwork that night and we were able to submit the offer the next day. Our offer was accepted and Addyson guided us along the way of what we needed to do. She was on the ball with everything! I dealt with a few other realtors before I found Addyson and wasn't impressed. They were too slow with getting back to me and you have to be fast to get the house you want. With Addyson's help, we were able to close and officially bought our new home. We are so excited and we are getting married in a couple months! We were waiting for the home to get married and now our dreams can come true! Addyson is very nice and she would love to help you find your new home too!! We got our picture taken with her big key sign which we were thrilled to do in front of our home. You can get your picture with her key sign in front of your home too!! She may even borrow the big bow (my fiancé surprised me with for our picture at the house) to add to your picture. Very thoughtful touch to the perfect picture of your home!! Call Addyson and she can help you find your home!! Even if you are going to sell your home, Addyson would be helpful with doing that too!

I wish I could give a zero star review. Three weeks have gone by without a response to my last…read moreemail regarding the estimate from DB Homes. I wish I could say that it was an honest mistake on your part; however, this is typical of the customer service I've come to expect from DB Homes. We have called your Johnstown, PA office numerous times with the same excuse given to us from the receptionist..."Chad and Keith are both busy right now. I can give them a message you called." Weeks would go by without a callback or a response to our email. We continued to try to contact Chad or Keith for information regarding the $300,000+ house we wanted to build with DB Homes. We had two property owners waiting for our word to sell us their properties. We told them for weeks that we were waiting to hear from DB Homes regarding questions we had about our estimate. We never heard back from Chad or Keith. It is with sincere sorrow and deep disappointment that we have to inform you we are no longer interested in any type of business with DB Homes. Our experience with your company has been nothing but a disappointment and frankly pathetic experience with a sales team that is far too busy for our business. We have posted our review on Yelp. We have informed everyone we know to never use DB Homes.

Everyone wants to order their house asap - but DB knows (through experience) how people can change their mind about what they THINK they want -vs- what they REALLY want in their home. So DB does not rush through the ordering process, which saves a lot of headaches down the road once construction has started. After we meet with them, our price quotes come within a week - then we review the quote and make any necessary changes, then schedule an appointment with them to make those changes (or we can email it to them). Then we get our new quote in a week. (and there's no mistakes - everything we said we wanted was quoted accurately!). The 1st place we went to - they were NOT professional - took forever to get our quotes and when we did there were TONS of mistakes even though I gave them paper copies, photos, and emails of what we needed to order, then it took over a month before I'd hear ANYTHING from them - after 4 months of inaccurate quotes and hassles, we gave up on Hemminger Homes and went to somewhere else. The 2nd place we went to, Mt. View Homes, promised we would have our price quote in a week........and that was 4 weeks ago, and they haven't even bothered trying to contact us at all.......so we contacted DB Homes. DB Homes had me email them our floor plans prior to our 1st appointment (our appointment was the same week we initially called them), and when we met with them for the 1st time, they gave us price quote estimates based on our floor plans that we sent them - VERY IMPRESSIVE. AND, they were extremely understanding and nice to our 4 year old granddaughter who was with us for hours as we went through our options for the homes........Keith even went to the Disney Channel and asked her what she would like to watch. They also treated her to paper/pens, pretzels, cookies, crackers, candy, and even some toys!

The owners have been in the business for years and it shows in every way. We found that they same high quality merchandise we were seeing in NYC with better service and pricing. They provided us with products as simple as subway tile - but they helped us select a particular brand that looks great and didn't break the bank--which we get compliments on all the time. On the high end too, we selected marble slabs as well as limestone from them and with their guidance. All around great and caring customer service and wonderful products make this a vendor you want to work with again and again.

I've never had a problem until today, when I called ahead of time to make sure that they were open, and got the owner on the phone. When I explained to him what I needed, I received one of the rudest, most ignorant responses I've ever had in 20+ years of being in business. In a rambling, incoherent tone, he alleged that they "don't do that, and never have". When I politely explained to him that I'd been coming there for years, he became belligerent and stated "If you're telling the truth, then that would make me 96 years...NO, 106 years old!". Perplexed and frustrated, I simply hung up the phone. I can't recall ever doing business directly with the owner, but I know for a fact that I have had his employees cut, thread, and sell me lengths of aluminum pipe on many, many occasions. In fact, I have an invoice beside me on my desk right now from last year, from Kuhns Electric Supply.....for a piece of threaded, cut-to-spec aluminum pipe. I've learned over the years not to expect "top notch" service from virtually ANY establishment in the Laurel Valley, but today's unbelievable circus of incompetence and belligerence from the likes of the owner of Kuhns Electric Supply really takes the cake. I mean, how difficult is it to at the very least practice at least some degree of basic human decency when you're answering the phone at the business that you own? I would NEVER treat my own customers, not even my worst ones, with that degree of disrespect. In summary, I'd recommend going to Lowe's over this business if you can help it. I'm all for supporting local businesses over the big corporations, but I'd rather have service with a fake smile than no service at all topped off with borderline harassment by telephone. This place is low-rent. Avoid.
