Soergel's Orchards is a pinnacle of Pittsburgh…read more We attended the 2026 Fall Festival and loved every aspect of it. The setup is so accommodating and easy to navigate. With local police and parking lot attendants, they have a system to get everyone parked without long waits... and if their spots fill, they have a detour and partnership with a local church to use their parking lot with access directly to the fields. Once on the premise, you feel like you are immersed in a town village... with the setup of the storefronts, pop-ups throughout, and genuine kindness of all the staff (most of them are family.. how cool!). The Apple cider slushie and apple cider donut are THE BEST in Pittsburgh, but everything is honestly worth a try! With a market, an allergy friendly market, barbecue window, slushie stand, onsite Arsenal Taphouse, Chainsaw Woodcarving, Corn Maze, Flower Picking, Apple Picking, and even more... you will easily spend a whole day... and it's free to enter! The prices are all reasonable too... $1.25 for a water, $1 for a donut. You won't break the bank!

Wow. This is such a great place. We were going to head to Gibsonia and I was looking for things to…read moredo and places to see. Soergel Orchards came up in my hunt so we made it one of our stops. We arrived and found ample parking and went inside. There is so much inside: you can find donuts from Orum's on Saturday (we bought 6) and there is fresh bread, dinner rolls, jams, and other pastries available. Toward the back are farm fresh vegetables, milk, etc. They have an ice cream counter and things like honey, etc. nearby. We, also, stopped by Arrowhead winery inside to sample their wines: the lady behind the counter was super helpful and knowledgeable about their wines and the wine-making process. Overall, you will find yourself spending more time and money than you expected but you will, also, be planning your next visit. There is a lot to see outside and we did not get a chance to really investigate the outside as there was so much inside. We will be back: bringing a cooler next time to buy some wine so we can keep it fresh if it happens to be a warm day.

If you have a chance to visit this farm, do it! The tour experience is $9 per person and worth…read moreevery penny. You start the tour with a little bit of information about the farm and it's history. You then proceed to the automated milking machine area. It is fascinating. Totally automated. The cows choose when to enter and the machine takes care of the rest. It automatically washes them, connects, milks, analyzes quality and amount of milk and then completes the process. During the tour we saw three different cows get milked and were able to ask a ton of questions. After viewing this portion we entered the barn where all the cows currently being milked are. It was fun seeing their different personalities through how they interacted (or didn't) with the visitors. They even have cow massagers! Next we saw the calves. Some were born as recent as last week. Then came the hayride. It was a 20ish minute ride through the farm's beautiful property. One of the farm's owners was on with us to answer questions. I think the highlight for everyone was the tasting at the end. Each guest is given an individual container with several varieties that we tasted in a particular order. My favorite was the cheese curds. My daughter loved the pepper Jack and my son loved the pizza cheese. We also sampled the quark cheese spread (which is kind of a combination of cream cheese and goat cheese in texture and flavor). The tasting was completed with their chocolates which are stuffed with their quark cheese. Amazing. When the tour was completed we were free to visit with the cows again or make some purchases. Such a great experience that I highly recommend to everyone!
